Nanotech used to heal blind hamsters

For those of you, like me, who are interested in this kind of thing, it seems that through the use of specialised nano-particles blinded hamsters have had their sight restored. If this technique works in humans we could be a big step forwards in reversing all kinds of health problems. No nanosurgeons yet, but it looks like we're getting closer.

So we've actually been able to make it kinda work. I always thought of this one as more sci-fi than science. It's nice to see that I'm wrong.
