Fighter/Druids

I'm glad to see that DR fixes that "Druids in Platemail" loophole, however, I think it should go a little farther. I've looked through all the books I have at my disposal, and they stand silent on this (so my judgement is up to debate), but I always thought the Druidic weapon restrictions were more akin to those of a mage or a thief's restrictions. In other words, they weren't based on ethos, but on circumstance. I think Fighter/Druids should have their Armor restricted, but should be able to use any weapon a fighter can use. Thoughts?

Restrictions are just random AD&D BS anyway. There is no way to tweak them (up to and including leaving them be) without falling in a consistency trap.
