CamDawg
After reading through feedback on some of the other boards, I saw a lot of good reasons (that I had never considered) advanced for guest posting. As a result, I've decided to give this a shot here at G3 to see how it goes. On a trial basis, guests can now start topics, reply, etc. on all of the public forums. Feedback (especially from those of you who don't want to register!) on this is appreciated. Link to comment

JPS
Guest have a habit of writing messages that have no point. They could register in a jiffy and start spamming just as well. Yes, but then they can be banned, and would at least need to register a new account before they can do it again (they'd probably need a new e-mail account as well, and possibly a new IP address, depending on how thoroughly they've been dealt with). A guest gone bad could return much more easily. But there are good things about allowing guest posting as well, and I hope we'll see many good guests and none of the bad ones (I probably wouldn't have joined any of the modding forums if I hadn't started out as a guest over at FWS. You'll have to decide for yourself if that's a good thing or not ). Link to comment
jester
I have been lurking around FWP and FWS for years. Glad, I came to register finally :D Guests are a good thing as said in your last paragraph. Good idea Cam. Link to comment

Andyr
Heh, I didn't notice it was the 29th. I guess we'll have to see what Guest Posting does for the site then! Though Guests should really register anyway IMO. Hint. Link to comment
