Guest Guest
Hah, ive actually got another question ( i havnt played BG in a loooong while, and am looking back to playing it a few times) Is thier anyway to lower your rep and keep it low other than randomly killing townspeople? And avoiding Doing anything good no matter how much it benefits you? Link to comment
Domi
There are not many options, unfortunately. In addition to killing peasents and guards, you can also be caught stealing and add Viconia to your party. We have a few rep lowering opetions here and there iirc, but they are not numerous, since we were not addint much quest content. Link to comment
Guest Guest
Erm, not meaning to complain. More sugestive. If your going to make NPCs who you can only romance when evil, wouldnt it be usefull to put down a few quests, which are wrong, and not nice, but not im going to kill everyone sorta thing. At least to balance out the quests which give you good reputation, even if the motives are selfish Link to comment
Domi
There was a Shar-Teel Quest Idea, which had a not-so-nice outcome, yes, precious, not very nice at all, if one wanted to continue to romance Shar, but it got scraped. At present, we are trying to polish up what content we have and finalize the mod. Believe it or not but BG1NPC was in active development since 2002. It took insane amount of work to bring it to life, and while we know there could be infinetly more things done on it, we simply cannot embrace the unembraceable. Quest content, even the character-specific quest content was never a priority in BG1NPC. In fact, we have some 3 or 4 written quests that have little to no chance of ever being implemented, because it is such a darn hard job to implement and test them out. Plus, any quest we were to develop was to be tightly connected to a particular NPC, so as to enchance the characterization. Adding quests for the sake of adding quests is what BG1-Quest-Pack in works on BWL is set up to do, so you might want to drop off that suggestions - more quests targeting evil PCs there. Guest Guest
Okay thanks, ive got a bookmark of about 10 sites with BG/BG2/tutu mods for when i get my computer up and running : ). Question off-thread : How is the BG modding community going? is it starting to dry up or is it still quite popular? When i started looking around about two weeks ago, i never expected to see that so much had been done on Baldurs gate as has been done. Link to comment
Domi
Hey, hope that you'll have fun once you get things going. As for the community, well, what you see is what you get, and everyone probably has his or her own opinion as to how things stand with IE modding. If you want to chat about it with all the good folk of G3, the General Modding Discussion, or Noobermeet are v. cool fora to have fun with this topic! Link to comment
