Tribute to Branwen

I cannot thank you enough for creating the Branwen romance. A poem I wrote in tribute (based on portions of her dialogue):

Gray stone softening

Into mail and cloth and flesh:

This Norheim priestess,

Rescued from a terrible fate

T'was Tempus' hand

That brought us together:

Saved, loved and treasured

For the rest of her life.

Has anyone fancied the possiblity of proposing to NPCs? If Aerie can bear a child, why not wed? -- or is that outdated :)

Beautiful. :) Thank you very much.

Many NPCs actually propose - Anomen among them. I think the actual wedding is left to our imagination, since different players have different opinions of how a wedding should look like.

Nice, thank you for dropping by :) There was an underground Bran-BG2 romance in development, but we haven't heard from the author for a while, unfortunately. Hopefully, we will sooner or later, and maybe you'll get your wish there.

I bought BG2 when it was released, but never played it. I was waiting to finish BG1 and never did. With your BG1 NPC mod I decided to give it another try. I'm just about to enter Peldvale on my way to the bandit camp. What a marvelous addition to the game; Branwen makes a great companion for my PC, and I really "click"-- no, scratch that-- care for the character. It has managed to draw me into the game in way I never realized the first time around.

What did I do? Branwen continues to flirt on her own, but if player-initiated, tells me she wants to be alone. Boy is this familiar ;) I'm in the cloakwood forest and so concerned about her that I can hardly concentrate on the current quest.

[EDIT] Okay, she finally explained herself -- I shall simply wait 'til she sorts things out -- and won't say more ;) Pehaps I'll work on a ballad...

My lady Branwen,

Forbid me not to feel

Nor be upset

if I show concern

Why are you silent?

Silent as the day I found you

With a kiss:

Your stony gaze I would chase away

Is it your doubts I see?

Eyes ever serious and deep

Why do you worry so?

Tomorrow will take care of itself

Now, walk with me awhile

Branwen, love,

Smile for me, again

Tomorrow perhaps, will not find us.

*nod* You are right: it's definitely more of a payoff when the romance continues throughout the entire game.

I am guessing here, but it could be you picked up a quick romance timer, like 15 minutes, or half an hour. Yes, it does influence your game - before it's half-gone, the romance is over.

Do not despair, though.

Do not despair, though. You will still get a quite a few dialogues: in Candlekeep, during the Poison quest (Marek and Lathander - first in the lower right corner of Baldur's Gate map, then in Baldur's Gate central area), and of course, the one in the Undercellars. And there's a prayer lovetalk - after *certain* events in Candlekeep.

Well, now I've spoiled it all.
