Guest unknown soldier
i installed my german versions of bg1, totsc, bg2 and tob correctly with official patches, tutuv4 (also tried v6) install without problems. but when i try to install the bg1 npc project mod comes: Installing [The BG1 NPC Project for BG1 Tutu: Core Install] FAILURE: This mod should be installed in your BG2 folder, after the Tutu conversion. Stopping installation because of error. Stopping installation because of error. every other mod for tutu works fine! i haven't installed a tutufixpack (but also tried them, if the mod installs with it --> no, it doesn't) does anybody know this problem? CamDawg
The mod has two quick checks to determine that you're installing it on a valid Tutu install. It checks to make sure data/AREA000A.bif is not present (a BG file) and then checks for override/FW0100.are, the area file for the NW section of Baldur's Gate. Is this file missing from your override? Have you biffed any files? Link to comment
Domi
TUTU4 is unstable without TUTUfix. The problem is most probably in yout TUTU installation. Try using EasyTUTU instead of regular one. Link to comment
Guest Guest
now i just moved the data/AREA000A.bif to another directory, and now the mod installs fine! but is that file not needed by other parts of the program? is it bad if i move it just back into the original folder? Link to comment
Guest Guest
ah i looked into the .tp2 file, there i could have the info also from! in future i will be able to examine such error-messages on my own and won't have to bother you anymore =) Link to comment

The data/AREA000A.bif line ensures you install BG1 NPC is not installed on a plain Baldur's Gate install--unless you're playing BGT and they've started including it, in which case we need a new test case. Domi
Whatever you do, please, install TUTU Fix prior to BG1NPC. TUTU fix is not an optional addition, it fixes TUTU 4. I am not entirely sure that your install is trouble-free; it will be the very first thing that will be suspect if you start running into problems. Link to comment
Guest Guest
Of course I installed tutufix it was just experimental, so that I could find out if it is responsible for the not-working mod. Now it's all done and ok! Thank youuuu Link to comment
