PST fixes

Checked out the only fix pack available out there and have been going through the game and have found a number of other errors. I've just started, and I'm currently working on item bugs, have found 35+ more errors than what was in the other fix pack. If anyone is interested in placeing them in a mod/fix pack let me know.

I can also post the item errors I've found on here if needed.

I'd be interested in having them for a new version of the Ps:T Tweak Pack--a bugfix component would be a good idea, if there's more bugs.

It'd be especially helpful if you coded the fixes with WeiDU. If not, then the finished files, an explanation of what was broken and what you did to fix it would save a lot of time for me trying to convert them to WeiDU.

Never used WeiDU, and would rather spend time on bug hunting than learning to use it. Maybe sometime if I can though. You want what I have now? Consists of 30 or so fixes, and some things I'm not quite sure on, only items as of now. The ones I'm not quite sure of, or not sure how to fix are in the readme file, maybe someone can point me in the right direction as to how to fix them?

Well I had a few of these fixes about a year or so ago and talked to platter then, he said he'd add 'em to his fixes but never did, and I never heard from him again.

On another note, some of the weapons I'm repairing say they have a damage of 3-23, correct me if I'm wrong but you can't get that damage range with a dice roll, so the only way to fix it would be to change the description?

I believe Andy asked asked and received a 'no'.

Correct.

4d6-1 would do it. I guess resorting to non-standard dice rolls would alter the spread of the rolls, though. I'd say the text is probably right. What damage was in the weapon files?

Its 1d20+3

Can you even use a -1 in an item dice roll?

All the entropic weapons are a mess, here's a list of other things that are wrong with them, it spans all of the entropic weapons, so most likely it was a cut and paste from one weapon to the next:

Description says speed and weight of 7, both are actually 1

Description says damage of 3-23, but its actually 4-23 (1d20+3)

Description says THAC0 bonus of +2, its actually +3

Everything but the damage has been fixed for all of them

That's just fucking stupid.

Something suddenly occurs to me, though. If all the fixes are going to be done via .tp2 patching......wouldn't that mean that you wouldn't really be "converting" or "borrowing" any of his fixes to begin with (since he just overwrites stuff)? Since the changes would all be coded from scratch, all you'd really be doing is fixing items from a list of errors found in the unmodded game. And permission for that wouldn't be needed.

You can use a -1 in a dice roll, yeah. If the weapons are meant to be +2 then perhaps it's meant to be 1d20 (i.e. the strongest dice size) +2, for a total of 3-22 damage. That'd make more sense to me. Or 1d20 +3, which would be 4-23.

Yea, its enchanted +2, but the BASE damage is whats listed as 3-23, so the only way to match this would be a 4d6 -1, I don't believe this is what they had in mind as they used a d20, but with the 4d6 -1 it would match the description. Anyway if I change it to the 4d6-1, its not going to crash the game is it?
