Candlekeep catacombs tomb raiding

Just a thought, but as my mixed party (via Happy Patch) including Ajantis and Dynaheir raids the Candleekp catacombs tombs, I'm thinking shouldn't these LG characters object? Disturbing tombs and all, it's presumably hallowed ground and whatnot. I mean the protagonist still might be able to convince them that in order to save the world that they need to look for whatever treaures they may find. But it's still hard to imagine Ajantis abiding that. A paladin would probably threaten to leave if the protagonist were to lead a party that way. Yeslick would probably feel that way as well. Dyna, may be a little more flexible perhaps.

I always thought of it as driving out the evil that was disturbing the tombs in the first place, but I see your point.

It is relatively difficult to do a proper check on that. You need unique items in those graves to check if it was taken plus a check to know that a player did not cheat one in earlier on or does not have it in his inventory legitimately. Even with all these accounted for there is no guarantee that the interjection would trigger at the very first tomb your thief opens. It would look funny if the LG gang would not mind one or two being broken into, but become outraged right when you got that precious Manual out of the coffin.

 

Plus, they are not just LG, but also probably smart/wise enough to realise that at this point the party is in dire straights and needs all help they can get. If implemented, it runs a high risk of irritating a player who is on his home stretch to victory there.

What Domi said. I share your opinion that it would be appropriate for Ajantis to object if the PC loots catacombs, but I thought it too much effort to code.
