Very odd, I just used Shadowkeeper to give my 8th level paladin 17 proficiencies (5 each, Axe, 2HSw, MACE, 2 in 2-h wpn) What I did not do was give him proficiency in anything he did not have at least one pip in before, but that works, too. The game engine doesn't give a whit what your existing proficiencies are. Link to comment
