Guest Guest_berelinde_*
Oddness. My pc is a female elf with Ajantis and Xan in the party. Both romances started, and I let them run their course for a while. I am romancing Ajantis in another game, and wanted to try romancing Xan this time. This is the weird thing. During Ajantis LT14, I saw the first tactful way to end the relationship (something along the lines of "we're comerades and friends, and I'd like to leave it at that") and he responded that he was sorry and would keep it to himself in the future. Well, we're in Cloakwood area 2, just killed Centol and the spiders, and Ajantis just initiated LT14 again! With Xan, <CHARNAME> has favorably completed LT17. This time, I've responded differently to Ajantis, with some encouragement. It's got me curious. I'll check the "X#AjantisRomanceActive" setting and see if this was just a fluke, but I might just decide to let it play out a little longer and see what happens. Does Ajantis restart the relationship on his own or something? Link to comment
Guest Guest_berelinde_*
Oddness. Does Ajantis restart the relationship on his own or something? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> No. When I got outside, Ajantis was set at 3, Xan at 2 (but didn't check until after LT15). So it must have been area-specific or just a fluke. Link to comment
jastey
No, if the Ajantis romance is finished it's finished. Try click-talking him in the Cloakwood area 2, it could be he wanted to say something else (was it after you found the dead brother?) but LT 14 triggered twice because of a coding error we are already aware of. This will definitely be fixed for the next version, but thank you for reporting anyhow. Link to comment

We're just entering the mines, now, so unless we do a town run half-way through, I probably won't get to hear wat Ajantis was going to say until the return trip. But I will try click-talking him on the way back. Link to comment

As I said, this bug is fixed in the next version; sorry for the inconvenience. Link to comment
Guest Guest_berelinde_*
There was no inconvenience, just a bit of puzzlement. I am really enjoying the NPC experience. This is, by far, the most fun I've had with BG1. Link to comment
