I just finished a game with a human CG Berserker with Cha 14-15 (15 with tome), and the Dynaheir romance never triggered. The party quickly reached a rep of 10 and remained there throughout the game. The protagonist also initiated conversation, but to no avail. Is there a known bug?

I'm having the same problem with a human LG Paladin (Undead Hunter) with a Cha 18 and a reputation of 20, and am having the same problem.

 

Just for kicks, I opened the CLUAConsole and entered GetGlobal("CheckX#DynaheirMatch","GLOBAL") and it came back "does not exist". I set it to 1. I'm probably going to have to enter something along the lines of SetGlobal("X#DynaheirMatch","GLOBAL",1), but I'm going to see what this forum has to say on the subject first.

 

BTW: other romances have worked just fine. The Ajantis one works, the Xan one works. Those are the only 2 others I've tried.

Try checking your variables.

Out of curiosity, what were your intelligence and wisdom? Dynaheir doesn't necesserily like her men handsome, she likes them smart.

 

According to the romance guide that downloaded with the NPC Project, the following criteria need to be met:

 

Intelligence: 10+

Wisdom: 10+

Alignments: LG, NG, CG, LN, TN

Races: Humans, Elves, Half-Elves, Half-Orcs

Reputation: 11+

 

I think I've spotted the problem. You said your reputation was 10 the whole time. She likes a more upstanding gent, I'm afraid.

I'm out of the running for helping here - I had a harddrive crash right after installing WinXP Pro, so am rebuilding my machine again. It will probably be Tuesday or Wednesday before I can research again.

 

In the meantime, can you please make sure you are posting about the Tutu version, not the BGT version? I missed which you were using in your first post.

Yes, I'm on Tutu as well.

 

And the Dynaheir romance has started, after all. I just had to be a lot more patient than I expected to be. I guess Ajantis and Xan are more forward than Dynaheir.

Yes, Dynaheir is definitely less forward, but she makes up for it with a great deal of content/banter/etc. The default timer is 1 hour minimum real time between lovetalks, but patience will be rewarded! Lermentis, if you are going back through soon, you may want to ply your character on through through TOB before coming back for a second shot at the romance; we are trying to get something together, and Dynaheir has new content/quest/romance content. No official release time other than "by the end of July or cmorgan will explode in a puff of existential angst and incandescent logic".
