Andyr Posted July 31, 2006 Posted July 31, 2006 You mean like Find Familiar? I'd use that spell as a basis--I am not sure offhand, but think it reads in a .2DA file to determine the type of creature called. Or you could set the creature summoned explicitly in the spell effect, like one of the Summon Monsters.
Guest Kip Posted July 31, 2006 Posted July 31, 2006 It uses the .gam file. And I can't figure out how to place the Familar 2 effect on the creature summoned all in one spell.
Avenger Posted August 1, 2006 Posted August 1, 2006 Have you read the description in dltcep? familiar 2 should use timing method 9. It is only to disable further familiar summons. I would rather add this effect to the summoned creature as embedded effect.
Guest Guest Posted August 1, 2006 Posted August 1, 2006 Hate to double post (I really gotta register) but if that is the effect that disables the summoning of familars then what effect has it change areas with you and if you ctrl + J somewhere it goes also?
Avenger Posted August 1, 2006 Posted August 1, 2006 Probably its resref being in the .gam? No idea, this part is not completely clear to me.
