Hi everybody,

First of all: thanx for the great work.

I am a great fan of Baldur's Gate and I always want to replay the entire "saga" starting from Candlekeep. Your mod give me the motivation to start again. Great work: I'm really impressed! The Dyna romance is better than the BGII romances!

I've got one question: I want to dual class Imoen to a mage, considering BG II and the general direction taken by your mod. I can dual class her whenever I want or have you estabilished a certain moment in the mod_plot (maybe when she is a 7 lvl thief as BGII)?

Bye,

Federico.

Neither this mod nor TuTu itself forces you to dual class in any way or at any time. Do as you see fit.

Note that even with TuTu installed, there's no real continuity between BG1 and 2, imoen will be a dual classed thief/mage regardless of what you did in the first game, and Jaheira and Minsc will be in the cage regardless of whom you had in the party when fighting Sarevok.

I confess to a slightly sinful admission -- since Imoen plays with the idea of magic in BG1NPC, I don't dual Immy at all through the whole game. I let her have the banters and talks and just enjoy the conversations without losing my party's thief. I now use EasyTutu and EasyTutu Kits, and make her a Swashbuckler, so she can go adventuring "just like in the books". In the "old days" I just SK'ed her into a Swashbuckler.

It has been a long time, but when I did go on into BG2, I played a regular game until rescuing Imoen at Spellhold. Since Imoen was "playing" with being a Mage, I figure that sometime between the final BG1/Tutu fight and the abduction into BG2, she decided to become a magic user. That would put her as a L1 MU, which means she could use magic missile (she does in the cutscenes) but simply have her do little or nothing in the opening dungeon (after all, she has been tortured). Once I rescued her from Spellhold, I would then save, rebuild her into a L10 Swashbuckler, set her stats etc. from the Tutu final save, and dual her to Mage immediately.

Now there are BG2 mods that allow this behavior, and change Imoen into exactly this format. I haven't used them, but I have seen at least two that change her around, one of which allowed her to be a L10S/L1MU in the initial dungeon. It makes more sense to me to have Imoen behave this way.

Thanks a lot. I just want to know if her banters change once I have dual classed her. Imho in BGI is better to have a real thief in your party. The greater probelm is that you can't "save" XP (as in Kotor, for example) and dual calss her when you have the righet amount of XP (otherwise you have a very weak NPC since she can't become a specialist mae). But, storywise it's better to dual class her. Well I think that I will not dual class her until she could become a lvl 7 thief. Then i will dual class her and change her XP with Shadowkeeper ^___^. I've finished BGI two times and I can't see that as cheating ^___^.

Thanx,

Federico.
