Changing a Creature's Script Name?

Is it possible? I'm pretty sure scripts can't do it, but I wonder if a spell or item effect can. (Though I suppose it's doubtful.)

You mean in-game? I don't think so--the closest thing of which I can think are how the trolls swap back and forth from their alive and 'dead' forms. I believe their creature file replacement also involves taking on the new DV, though I can not say for sure.

ChangeAnimation replaces the creature with a new one.

That action could be simulated with opcode too (Replace Creature).

 

I don't know of any opcode that replaces scriptname.
