Ahem, hello there. I don't know if it's a bug or what, but sharteel has sttoped her chatting after LT0. That for sure. I, however, have checked that X#SharInterestTime=1 and i'm accomplish the "rest" LT1 requirement over and over so i have no clues.

 

I wonder if i *must* have installed her Romance Timer component (15/30/45/1h) for her convenience. I hope not. Is there not a default romance timer? *Have* you to install one of the offered timers to romance work?

Her romance requirements were off by 1 in the guide vs the code; it was corrected for V12. Check if your X#SharInterest was set to 1, and if it was not, try doing so. If you don't install timers, they are authomatically set to 1 hour.

Ok, time to report:

 

X#SharInterest was indeed set to 1 but the romance couldn't never continue since the IF-THEN timer checks from Srrom BAF60 folder were not there, ie, not contained in any BG2 .bcs so it was fairly impossible to them work like intended. :blush:

 

I fixed the problem installing the 60 minutes romance timer. Now the Shart romance nicely follow its course again and plays like a gem.

 

I'm glad this issue has been suppressed in beta 12 by forcing player to choose a timer from a more variety amount of timers. It sucked without any clues to know what the heck was occuring there!

I have the same problem.

 

My lawful evil monk (Str 18, Cha 14, Rep 7) doesn't get the love-talks either after LT-0.

 

Changing the times between romance-talks doesn't help. I can flirt with her, though, and she also flirts, but that doesn't really get me ahead.

 

Is there anything else that might be wrong (I am familiar with the requirements for the Lovetalks, but they just do not happen)?

Check your WeiDU log. If you were using WeiDU v196 and installed/uninstalled portions of mods before BG1 NPC, it is possible that the timers were accidentally pulled out. If you find some entries saying the timers were recently uninstalled, we can fix this pretty easily. Could you toss your WeiDU.LOG up here to look at?

If you are using Easy Tutu, there should be a file in your BaldursGateTutu folder labeled WeiDU.log. You can open that with any text editor and cut and paste its contents into your message. For example, mine is

Well, it helps, and it doesn't ;) . The good news is that the timers are there correctly, and everything you have should result in pretty seamless, bug-free gameplay.

 

The bad news is now we have to prospect for the real problem that is stopping materials form happening. To doublecheck, synopsis:

  1. You have installed Shar-Teel's romance speed as "1 hour", which means after about one hour of real time (not game time) the next LT should be eligible to fire. It won't happen like clockwork, but should relatively soon after the timer expires.
  2. You meet Shar-teel's requirements for romance, with

    So your rep had to stay at or below 10, and everything would progress. Hmmm. RealSetGlobalTimer("X#SharInterestTime","GLOBAL",1). Perhaps this is related to fast systems and this particular line. We have this set at 10 for some, 5 for others, and 1 for the remainder. Perhaps we should standardize on 5 seconds.

If you don't mind experimenting, and you are sure that the LTs are completely stalled, you could try two things. The first is to use CLUAConsole and move the LT along manually if things are not working. The second is more... adventurous.

 

You could pull BG1 NPC project from your install, making careful notes as to your WeiDU log order. Then go into BG1NPC\Phase3\SHROM\BAF_60\X#SHROM60.BAF and use Notepad to change ("X#SharInterestTime","GLOBAL",1) to ("X#SharInterestTime","GLOBAL",5) or

("X#SharInterestTime","GLOBAL",10).

 

Then reinstall and make sure the mods are put back in the same order, and replay from a save game. If things proceed correctly, then we have official proof that the "processing window" was too short for the game to recognise.
