Andyr Posted September 14, 2006 Share Posted September 14, 2006 I was reading earlier today that the dwarf planet UB 2003 313, nicknamed "Xena", has now been officially named Eris after the Greek goddess of strife (known as Discordia by the Romans). Here's a link to the New York Times story... as the article mentions, quite an appropriate name for it. Hail Eris! All hail Discordia! etc. Link to comment
