Oh, heh. And I here I was about to unveil my new G3 Debuging Suite which does this and has a lot of other automatic checks.

As of right now, I've got checks for areas, items, creatures, and spells. I've also added the BG2 Inventory Checker as a component. Though it does look like Nythrum is a little bit nicer to folks with corrupted files.

Well, good news for Nythrun, not so hot for me... on EasyTutu install using this checker, everything loaded from BG1 NPC fine. The errors detected were the 4 IPLOT items, plus

AX1H10.ITM

IMPQUA.ITM

PTION41.ITM

STAF14.ITM

IMP.ITM

NEBDAG.ITM

STAF10.ITM

SW1H57.ITM

 

all of which (I assume) are fixed by the BG2 Fixpack, because EasyTutu doesn't need (or use) these items.

 

The bad news for me is that means that the stupid missing Dynaheir Journal item on some installs must be something else going wrong. Back to the drawing boards...

Hey, remember I am on an EasyTutu_TOB game... it may be that these are all fine in a regular game! All of the _itemname.itm files went through without error, as did all oft he X#item.itm files.

Yeah, I get the exact same list as cmorgan on a EasyTutu_ToB install, but they go through just fine on a 'regular' BG2Fixpacked ToB install - no cause for alarm here.
