Sillara of the Tamari
I have just installed BGTutu using EasyTutu-TOB. It installed without trouble. I had already patched my game, and I then installed Tutu-fix. Then I tried to install BG1NPC, but it would not install. It claims I do not have either BGTutu or BGT installed. But I DO! I installed BG-ToS on the same PC where I have BGII-TOB. Then I used EasyTutu-TOB, and everything seemed fine until I tried to install BG1NPC. Ugh. I REALLY want this mod. Any help would be appreciated! (By the way, I tried to post my Weidu log, but the spam filter would not let me. If you want to see the relevant bits, I can try to post them after this.) cmorgan
berelinde has this one - I bet she beats me to the end of this post! And right on cue... Link to comment
berelinde
When the installation of BG1 NPC failed, did you see some kind of a message, like File #####.XX not found, rolling back to previous state? I am by no means competent to diagnose your problem, but it is possible that information will help someone else fix it. I am not suggesting that this is your problem, but I've had installations fail because of incomplete downloads before. Is this possible? Edit: darn it, cmorgan, am I that transparent? I'm going to have to sit on my hands! Link to comment
cmorgan
awww, heck no... that was a tip of the hat Call it a bow to a fellow fan; in both our our cases, you have to add "atic" Sillara, I know you are an established and experienced modder (I read your tutorials for the stringfixer to rebuild ours), so please don't be insulted - but could you triple check to see if you were in the BaldursGateTutu subdirectory? I have several times done the routine by rote, and accidentally/instinctively tried to put BG1 NPC on BGII - SoA... Link to comment
Macready
Hello - The most common cause of EasyTutu -> BG1NPC install failures is extraction of the BG1NPC package to the BG2 folder instead of the EasyTutu folder. EasyTutu installs itself by default to C:\Program Files\BaldursGateTutu, unless you picked a different destination during installation. This issue and other common ones are covered in the EasyTutu FAQ. If it turns out that you are having a different problem, it would help to have some more details (e.g., the exact error message).
