Idobek Posted May 15, 2004 Share Posted May 15, 2004 This is probably because your 'Temporary Internet Files' folder has been emptied, this is where the favicons are stored. To get them back and keep them, follow these steps: 1: Re-bookmark all appropriate pages - the icons should now show. 2: Open up this folder: C:\Documents and Settings\Me\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files where 'Me' is your user name on your computer. 3: Copy all the favicon.ico files to a different folder, you will have to rename each icon. 4: Right-click on each of your bookmarks and select 'Properties' -> 'Change Icon' and assign the icon file from your new folder. This is applies IE & Windows XP, you may have to unhide some folders to do this. Link to comment
