berelinde
I've been spending a lot of time lately in the IESDP, but I can't really benefit from the examples, because to me, they appear to be odd characters that bear no resemblane to any known language. I'm at the point now where I would benefit from not having to ask a new question every second day, when the information is right there, but I can't read it. Is there anything I can do to translate the characters? Link to comment
berelinde
I'm a dork. I found out how to make it intelligible: just copy it to something else, like notepad. I deserve the ridicule, I suppose. Link to comment
Andyr
Which web browser are you using? Perhaps you need to install new fonts? Link to comment
berelinde
That was what I was thinking. I use IE v 6.0. Link to comment
Smoketest
Try going to IE's menu, click on View then Encoding and try different settings. There is Auto-Select, two types of Western European, and several others. Pick the setting that allows IESDP to view properly. (It uses the ISO-8859-1 character set which is international in scope.) berelinde
Could I be more of a dolt? Thanks, Smoketest. That did the trick. Much easier to see what is going on. Link to comment
Smoketest
Awww, don't feel bad. Inexperience doesn't equate to doltishness or dorkiness. Link to comment
