Divine Remix (v5) causes crashes under Linux

When I try to create a Druid or a Cleric, bgmain.exe freezes after I choose the weapon proficiencies (= the GUI locks and nothing happens). I don't know if DR is the fault, however I have no problems creating a fighter or a mage, and on a clean Tutu install I don't get the freeze. I'm uninstalling DR to see if the mod is what is causing the problem.

 

Hopefully it was tested before release, so I'll suppose that something strange has happened with Wine, so the best course of action IMHO is to simply state this somewhere.

 

Ubuntu 6.06, kernel 2.6.15, Wine 0.9.24 (just in case ).

 

EDIT: without DR, it still freezes for a couple of seconds (but nowhere near the minutes I was getting).

Unfortunately, I replicated that even if I rebooted in Windows and created a Ranger/Cleric with the following weidu.log (hanging happens between choosing weap profs and choosing racial enemy):
