whiteowluk Posted February 20, 2007 Share Posted February 20, 2007 Hi All , Having played and enjoyed many wonderful mods, I decided I'd like to start seeing how things are put together with view to eventually giving something back and making mods too. I checked on recommended tools and downloaded Infinity Explorer and Near Infinity (latest version) as well as the latest version of Java. Now I can get Infinity Explorer running quite happily, but no such joy with Near Infinity. It keeps wanting to extract its files and I got the impression it needs to be kept as is. I've also tried downloading the Near Infinity bat file, but that doesn't seem to help either. I know I'm probably missing something really obvious, but after various searches of the forums here and at other sites, I really don't know what I'm not doing that is causing a problem.
