Discord
I like fooling around with portraits in my spare time. 'tis good fun. I've started working on a new mod now, and I was hoping to use one of the portraits I've made as the character portrait. However, it's not exactly my original work: I borrowed elements from two different portraits (I think I got them from the portrait gallery at blackwyrmlair, but I don't remember now) I took elements from two different images and stuck them together, and basically messed with them to get the image I wanted. I'd like to ask the artists' permission, and put their names in the credits once I finish the mod, but I have no idea who they are or where the images originally came from. Is it okay to just go ahead and use the image? 'Cause that kinda feels like taking advantage of the artists... Link to comment
berelinde
If you got it from the portrait gallery at BWL, you could always shoot the artist a PM and see how they feel about it. Most of them are still active. Link to comment
