Miloch
Can someone explain what the possible values for Resistance Type (0x5c of EFF v2 files) mean in practical terms? 0-Nonmagical 1-Dispel/Not bypass resistance 2-Not dispel/Not bypass resitance 3-Dispel/Bypass resistance In other words, if I give an item a spell effect on either the user or an enemy, what is the impact of assigning different values here? pro5
0=No dispel/Bypass resistance, to be more descriptive. They're pretty self-explanatory: Dispel/No dispel = controls whether effect can be dispelled (using Dispel Magic opcode) Bypass/Not bypass res. = controls whether effect ignores magic resistance of possible targets. I think some effect opcodes are hardcoded to ignore magic resistance. Link to comment
