    Perfect! It ran all 58 scripts in 21 minutes and came up with 7 CRE's that needed to be copied into the game for a Tutu install. Just a few more verifications and updates and Bonehill v275 will be ready for release.

    Well, using the combination of Notepad ++ and Miloch's at turns this endeavor into a manageable task. I use Notepad ++ to eliminate every line that does not have a CreateCreature in it, and then only need to scroll through the list of and note the ones without an _ in front of their names. Then it's a simple matter of cross-checking them against Miloch's outputed lists and use replace in notepad if the comparable CRE is available in Tutu, and if it isn't (ie; GNLCAP01) then copy that CRE into the game during the Bonehill Tutu install.

    The idea would be to take every .cre referenced in the baf and compare it against the Tutu CRE list, and then out put a 3rd list from the comparison that will say something to the effect of "Hold on there, Sparky. If you try to call one of these CRES you will cause a CTD because they do not exist in Tutu!" Following is a sample from one of the scripts that is running: IF Range([PC],35) TimeOfDay(NIGHT) NumInParty(2) OR(6) CheckStat(StrongestOf(Myself),6,LEVEL) CheckStat(StrongestOf(Myself),6,LEVEL2) Resource Comparator Tool

    I have 58 (BGT based) spawn point bafs totalling 20 Mb of data I need to update in order to upgrade and enhance the Bonehill Tutu area spawns. How would one code a tool that would take each baf either individually or en mass, and 1st, list all .cre's that could possibly be spawned by the script, 2nd make a list of all .cre's available in a Tutu game, 3rd compare the 1st list against the 2nd list, and 4th, output a final list for each baf that lists any .cre being called by the script that does not exist in a Tutu game? Once I get that list I can do a relatively simply find/replace action with wordpad to replace any .cre that will induce a CTD due to not existing if it gets called.

    Mandas3.CRE Issue

    This may be an oversight, or taken care of in later versions (still running v10 here) but I'd recommend giving Mendas3.cre a MINHP1 item and destroy it via script or whatever. I just returned from Balduran's Isle (Kaishas, Maralee & Delainy worked perfectly, by the way) and upon battling Mendas/Selaad as a buffed & hasted party I was able to kill him before he could make his transformation. Baresh transformed just fine.
  6. In my DSotSC I'm running into an issue with several of the mods .wav files not playing properly when caled in game. They will play, but they play and sound like an old4 being played at about 15 rpm. After I export them from the .biff using NI and put them in my override directory, they play just fine. I've never had this issue before and wanted to see if anyone else has.

    What's wrong with my CHAIN ?

    But it's so fun to solve them, when you see yourself not being the only ~~ in the croup, and that other people make the same mistakes too. Ahhh..but there are no mistakes, really...merely another learning episode of what doesn't work...
  8. It is, but someone needs to cross-test it with other mods (particularly such as BG1 NPC) and confirm it, and probably adjust some things for compatibility. The same probably goes for vanilla BGT and BWP for that matter. It could be someone has already done this (I seem to recall jastey looked at it at one point) but I don't know if there's solid confirmation on compatibility. I don't know if the BG1 NPC kick-out code could generalised to all NPCs. I'd say probably, in theory, but if BG1NPC is adding to each NPC individually rather than having a more general patch, then perhaps it does need to be NPC-specific. Adjusting kickout dialogs would work, but part of the issue with this is the Drizzt Saga NPC's are such a high level in order to be able to play the Drizzt Saga areas, that they are far overpowered for a normal BGT or Tutu party. You wouldn't really want them in your party other than for getting through the mod.

    Maretha not showing up

    Looking at X#Andart.bcs the pertinent code begins at line 8200 or so. Moving the BG1NPC code to the beginning of the bcs file prior to the SCS added code allows the JaheiraHealsB global to be set to 6 and Andarthe to initiate the dialog with the party. You need to go back to your auto-save from travelling back to the druid area from the wyvern area for this to be effective. The code from the bcs file is as follows in a BGT game: IF Global("X#JaheiraHealsB","GLOBAL",5) Detect([PC]) InMyArea("jaheira") !StateCheck("jaheira",CD_STATE_NOTVALID) InMyArea(Player1) !StateCheck(Player1,CD_STATE_NOTVALID) THEN RESPONSE #100 SetGlobal("X#JaheiraHealsB","GLOBAL",6) END IF Global("X#JaheiraHealsB","GLOBAL",6) InMyArea("jaheira") !StateCheck("jaheira",CD_STATE_NOTVALID) InMyArea(Player1) !StateCheck(Player1,CD_STATE_NOTVALID) THEN RESPONSE #100 StartDialogueNoSet([PC]) END IF Global("X#JQBeadorDead","GLOBAL",2) Detect([PC]) InMyArea("jaheira") !StateCheck("jaheira",CD_STATE_NOTVALID) InMyArea(Player1) !StateCheck(Player1,CD_STATE_NOTVALID) THEN RESPONSE #100 SetGlobal("X#JQBeadorDead","GLOBAL",3) END IF Global("X#JQBeadorDead","GLOBAL",3) InMyArea("jaheira") !StateCheck("jaheira",CD_STATE_NOTVALID) InMyArea(Player1) !StateCheck(Player1,CD_STATE_NOTVALID) THEN RESPONSE #100 StartDialogueNoSet(Player1) END IF Global("X#JaheiraQuestAAttack","GLOBAL",1) THEN RESPONSE #100 SetGlobal("X#JaheiraQuestAAttack","GLOBAL",2) ActionOverride("jadruid8a",Enemy()) ActionOverride("takiyah",Enemy()) JumpToPoint([874.2175]) FaceObject(Player1) CreateCreature("WOLFDR",[-1.-1],0) // Dread Wolf CreateCreature("WOLFDR",[-1.-1],0) // Dread Wolf Enemy() END IF HasItem("X#ANSPER",Myself) // Flaming Spear +1 HPPercentLT(Myself,50) THEN RESPONSE #100 DropItem("X#ANSPER",[-1.-1]) // Flaming Spear +1 END IF Global("X#AndSurrender","GLOBAL",0) HPPercentLT(Myself,50) THEN RESPONSE #100 SetGlobal("X#AndSurrender","GLOBAL",1) ChangeEnemyAlly(Myself,NEUTRAL) StartDialogueNoSet([PC]) END

    Minor Questions

    Yes, this quest belongs to Coran. Greetings Leomar I've modded a change to this I've tested that is compatible with both BG1NPC and BG1UB and BGT for Kelddath to give a non-Coran party the Wyvern Quest. I've tested both with and without Coran and both ways conlude fine.

    Dynaheir's Journal

    Try reloading a save from before the area where the "good gnolls" spawn. I ran into the issue where only 3 of the 4 spawned, and I did not get the dialogue to start. Reloading and travelling to the area again allowed a gnoll respawn where all 4 gnolls appears, and then everything worked properly.

    Usage Hints for DisplayString()?

    You need to provide a .tra file for your script, and code it like thus: IF Entered([ANYONE]) GlobalLT("BHGnollQuest","GLOBAL",2) THEN RESPONSE #100 DisplayString(Myself,@300) SetGlobal("BHGnollQuest","GLOBAL",2) END
  13. Is there anyway to limit the respondents to a "shout" in an area? I just came into Cloakwood Mine level 2 and subsequently ended up battling every hostile creature in the 1st corridor before being able to explore the area. Hareishan ended up rushing from the room he was in to the room with the storage containers so it ended up no being much of a battle due to a few well placed fireballs. In a confined level like that, how difficult would it be to use different shouts different groups of hostiles so every critter doesn't go rushing to their doom? Similar issue in AR8602 for BGT where IRON3.cre and IRON11.cre are supposed to be neutral when you meet them and then go hostile if you give the wrong answer, but their _SHOUT.BCS in the override script causes them to be hostile upon meeting them. They still give the appropriate dialog before they fall, however... I still ran into the issue with blowing Andarthe up without giving him the opportunity to surrender. I would suggest giving him a MINHP1 item (works fine in my game) so he can dialog and surrender, and if the party allows the surrender, provide the same XP by dialog and let him escape, and if the party chooses to kill him anyway, destroy the MINHP1 item by dialog and ApplySpell(Myself,RESTORE_FULL_HEALTH) and summon a few more beasties and shadow druids by script to assist. By the way, BGT has _WOLFDR.cre as the .cre's that are summoned which are non-existant resources in BGT. They would need to be WOLFDR.cre to work.

    Just ran through Jaheira's Quest using BGT & Coaster's_Beta v17. Amarande still alive and Faldorn in party. Everything worked fine except upon return to find Andarthe he didn't dialog. Force talking got no response. I manually set Global("X#JaheiraHealsB","GLOBAL") to 6, and Andarthe's bcs block did not fire causing him to intitiate dialog with [PC] automatically, however the PC could initiate dialog with him and initiate the battle. No helpers were spawned by Andarthe, and no surrender dialog, but Maretha spawned properly, and Amarande still wants us to go on to the mines before talking any further. One typo I came across - Amarande in upper level of Treehouse, but Faldorn says "Hear me Amaranthe!"....
