Feel like returning for another run through of BG2EE after a few years. If I want an increased challenge and better experience over vanilla BG2EE, what mods are complete and should I use? I think Ascension was one of them. Is that fully playable and any other mods I should add with it, SCS I think is another one?

Don't know if it is a bug. 1. But in the starting dungeon, the drugear enemies can act weird when I cast web at them. They try to run away from the web but usually end up going idle when not webbed and do not attack hence, become standing targets. 2. The first vampire in the starting dungeon attacks the assassins, but the fee-male assassins does not attack vampire and becomes and easy kill for the vampire who then vanishes.

i decided I am going to go with: Ascension, Quest Pack, SCS (Hardcore) and then only the 'alter Hostile rest spawns' component from Tweaks Anthology to increase the frequency so I can't abuse rest.

Anyways, guess I will try them all and report back if I find bugs.

You mentioned non-EE. what about for BGIIEE only? Anyone can confirm your suggested mods and order for BGIIEE? Ascension, quest pack, SCS, and then aTweaks. If not yet confirmed or tested, I may just do a Ascension+SCS run, or a SCS only run. But I don't want to miss out on anything that may offer a better experience lol.

Out of curiosity, is anyone here using these mods in that order? Alot of the descriptions seem to be similar in nature in doing the same sort of things to the game, is there no conflicts do they all work well together?

Now that BGIII is in production. Thought I would get back and give BGIIEE another go. I want the most challenging experience. Do I need just this mod SCSv32 for that? Or should I be using other mods aswell like Ascension and or Item Randomizer, or are they not required and SCSv32 should be all I need for the best challenge? Thanks!

Ok kool. Im gonna start my Ascension+SCS v31 playthrough tonight.

so with v32 being released next. I wanted to know how different will the challenge be with the new difficulty slider implemented in v32 and other features. I want to have a real hard core challenge experience, is it better I wait for v32 for that request or can I achieve such an experience with v31 already?

I also want to use Item randomiser, with SCS v31 and Ascension with BG2EE. Has anyone done this, I would like to know if anything can get broken?

OK, so if I am now to go ahead and play SCS+Ascension, are there other mods out there that I should be installing, such as any Fixpacks or tweakpacks etc, unfinished business? Sorry haven't been to BG series for some time now.

Just wondering how stable is v31? I am so eager to get into some BG and was planning on waiting for v32. Can I upgrade to v32 half-way through a playthrough on v31 or would I have a better experience if I started fresh when v32 releases?

Hmm ok. Is Ascension still being supported/updated? Will these bugs get fixed? I think I will play through with the new SCS v32 when it releases and Ascension and leave out Tactics since that does not seem to be supported anymore.

So I was told that SCS+Ascension+Tactics have been working together in EE. Has anyone else played this combination and comment on it for me? Thanks.

Is this all good to use with Ascension? I want a real challenge
