@Lilaina Thanks that worked.

Steps:

1. Installed a completely clean and new Baldur's gate I EE plus SoD installation (Latest release version, which should be 2.5 something. No beta options selected) through Steam into my C:/Steam directory.

2. Installed SCS v31 latest release into game directory. All options selected. No installation errors or warnings that I saw.

3. Clicking Play BG I EE button in Steam does "preparing to launch" pop up, and then BG I EE shows - Running for about 3-4 seconds, and then -Running disappears and nothing happens. Same thing occurs every time.

*Running as administrator, using compatibility options for xp, or forcing game to use my NVidia Graphics card, do not help.

*Redoing steps 1-3 with SCS v32 RC4 produces the exact same output.

Can anyone help me with suggestions for what I should try next?
