  1. @jmerry Hello, I dont have that component in mmy current BG EE install, but apart from that and one or two other things its pretty much the same. I used change-log on SPPR712 Your mod is installed right near the end in my current install so any other mods that change Restoration spells will have made their changes before yours, so hopefully the attached zip is useful. Thanks restoration sppr712 change log and weidu log.7z
  2. Hello @Jarno Mikkola sorry for the slow reply. I've tried the stuter debug tool and nothing is showing. The tool is working but its not showing anything relating to this bug. Or I'm doing something wrong, which is possible. I made a fresh BG2 install. Started the game etc etc Installed just the Lanthorn Lenses component to check if the stutter happens with just that and after consoling in a bag of holding it started. I didn't need to put anything in it, and it stops when you drop the bag. The item i added was BAG31. Once I'd replicated it I installed the new version of the stutter debug tool you linked above and its not showing anything. I've wandered round the starting dungeon of BG2 a bit, script block names show at various points, such as by the lightning machine right at the start, but nothing is showing constantly. Any other suggestions? Thanks
  3. Hello. I've been meaning to post this bug for a while. On a BGT megamod install the Lnnthorn lenses seems to be causing stuttering once items are placed in containers, like a bag of holding. More details here - The stuttering happens when starting either a new BG1 or BG2 game, but not ToB. I'm guessing whatever script is looking for the lenses in your inventory isn't active once you reach that far into the game? Anyway, thought i'd finally get round to posting about in hopefully the right place. Thanks
  4. I'll try that hotfix in my next install, thanks. @Quester did, or does, anything seem to trigger the stuttering? Have you got loads of containers, or one with loads of stuff in? Even with a modern PC carting loads of crap around, which builds up over time, can make the game a bit laggy. Does dumping all your containers, if you have any, make the stutering stop?
  5. Hello, I had the same crash with temple healing. I think it is that Jmerry component. I meant to put a post about it but haven't got round to it. If you open the relevant temple .sto files in nearinfinity, there's a spell listed in brackets with null in front, if you change that to actually be null temples will work again. Typing this on my phone is a pain in the arse. @Quester
  6. @subtledoctor hello, I've tested it some more and you were right, it appears to have been one of the EEUItweaks components. First I installed the following; ~DLCMERGER/DLCMERGER.TP2~ #0 #1 // Merge DLC into game -> Merge "Siege of Dragonspear" DLC: 1.3 ~EEUITWEAKS/EEUITWEAKS.TP2~ #0 #1000 // Mods Options: 4.0 ~EEUITWEAKS/EEUITWEAKS.TP2~ #0 #1090 // lefreut's Character Creation Screens -> Default Button Position: 4.0 ~EEUITWEAKS/EEUITWEAKS.TP2~ #0 #1080 // Portrait Selectors -> lefreut's Portrait Picker: 4.0 ~EEUITWEAKS/EEUITWEAKS.TP2~ #0 #1070 // Faydark's Abilities Auto-Roller/GrimLefourbe's BG2 UI: 4.0 ~EEUITWEAKS/EEUITWEAKS.TP2~ #0 #2030 // Adul's Better Quick Loot: 4.0 ~EEUITWEAKS/EEUITWEAKS.TP2~ #0 #2050 // Simple Centered Dialog: 4.0 ~EEUITWEAKS/EEUITWEAKS.TP2~ #0 #2900 // lefreut's Improved Record Screen: 4.0 ~EEUITWEAKS/EEUITWEAKS.TP2~ #0 #3023 // Journal Fixes and Tweaks -> lefreut's Journal (quests expanded by default): 4.0 ~EEUITWEAKS/EEUITWEAKS.TP2~ #0 #3028 // lefreut's Customize Screens Tweaks: 4.0 ~EEUITWEAKS/EEUITWEAKS.TP2~ #0 #3050 // lefreut's Improved Inventory Screen -> With Item Comparison: 4.0 ~EEUITWEAKS/EEUITWEAKS.TP2~ #0 #4005 // lefreut's Store Screen Tweaks -> Default Button Position: 4.0 ~EEUITWEAKS/EEUITWEAKS.TP2~ #0 #4030 // Spell Books -> lefreut's Inscribed Arcana: 4.0 ~EEUITWEAKS/EEUITWEAKS.TP2~ #0 #5020 // lefreut's Box 5 (Dialog Box) Override: 4.0 ~EEUITWEAKS/EEUITWEAKS.TP2~ #0 #5041 // lefreut's Improved Fonts -> BG2 vanilla fonts for descriptions: 4.0 ~SOTSC\SOTSC.TP2~ #0 #0 // Shades of the Sword Coast - Expansion Pack for BGEE: 7.3 Started new game, went to Nashkel where there was an NPC that I knew was affected by the crash and as before after a complete of dialogues the game crashed. I then uninstalled everything and just installed ; ~DLCMERGER/DLCMERGER.TP2~ #0 #1 // Merge DLC into game -> Merge "Siege of Dragonspear" DLC: 1.3 ~EEUITWEAKS/EEUITWEAKS.TP2~ #0 #1000 // Mods Options: 4.0 ~EEUITWEAKS/EEUITWEAKS.TP2~ #0 #1090 // lefreut's Character Creation Screens -> Default Button Position: 4.0 ~EEUITWEAKS/EEUITWEAKS.TP2~ #0 #1080 // Portrait Selectors -> lefreut's Portrait Picker: 4.0 ~EEUITWEAKS/EEUITWEAKS.TP2~ #0 #1070 // Faydark's Abilities Auto-Roller/GrimLefourbe's BG2 UI: 4.0 ~SOTSC\SOTSC.TP2~ #0 #0 // Shades of the Sword Coast - Expansion Pack for BGEE: 7.3 Then started another new game and repeated the test and everything worked correctly. So it looks like this is the culprit - ~EEUITWEAKS/EEUITWEAKS.TP2~ #0 #2050 // Simple Centered Dialog: 4.0 The dialogue that should of been displayed when the crash happens has a large number of options, and I think extended the size of the onscreen dialogue box, so I'm wondering if that component has some kind of size limit? With NPC_EE, when you use the tome to change a characters kit etc, is there a large number of options to choose from, I'd assume so? Sorry, i havent had time to install it and check yet myself yet, probably won't until sometime tomorrow. @lefreut hello, is there some kind of limit with ~EEUITWEAKS/EEUITWEAKS.TP2~ #0 #2050 // Simple Centered Dialog: 4.0 in regard to how much text or the number of dialogue options that can be displayed, because i'm pretty sure thats the component thats causing the game to crash in certain circumstances? Thanks
  7. @InKal hello. NPC_EE isnt there because after uninstalling stuff and retesting it still wasn't working so i went with level 1 npcs instead. But the problem isn't with NPC_EE as I had more crashes without it, but all the crashes happened when selecting dialogue responses. Song and Silence works fine with Rogue Rebalancing if you install it first. I've used Spell Revisions revised, and Item Revisions revised quite a lot over the years. I'm pretty familiar with what they do and like most of the changes, though now you've mentioned it I'll go re read the readmes and try and tweak what i don't like. Divine Remix is there for the extra kits, I just don't use the sphere system because afaik, according to the BWP pdf, it causes crash to desktop. And thats happening enough as it is. I've not used Faiths and Powers, Tome and Blood and some of Might and Guile before because they've EE only and i usually play the classic games so I thought I'd give them a try and see what they do. Same with CDLore and Bardic Appraisal. I wanted to see what they were like in game and so they got installed. If I don't really like them I'll just not install them next time. Thats a bit harsh. I'm going to delete the install and have another try with less stuff and more testing as I install mods and see what happens. Thanks for the reply.
  8. Hello I've installed a load of mods for BG EE but it seems to have gone wrong somewhere. I based the install order on a few recently posted WeiDu logs, using PI to do the bulk of the install. There were only a few installed with warnings messages, but these were i think causd by things not being changed rather than something actually going wrong. The crash happens during dialogue with NPCs. It first happened when using the tome to change class/kit/stats from NPC_EE but is not limitied to that. It is also affecting AC_QUEST\AC_QUEST.TP2~ #1 #0 // A Job Well-Paid: 4.3, several NPCs from SotSC and the Skie dialogue from BG1NPC project. The first couple of dialogues work then when making a selection from the available options the game freezes for a second or 2 and then crashes to desktop. No warnings, error messages or logs from the crashes. In Near Infinity the check dialogues tool is now showing loads of warnings. (I ran it when it first happened and i swear there weren't any warnings) Can i fix these without having to do a fresh install or should I just start again? Anyone got any ideas what's gone wrong? Something out of place in install order? Thanks BG EE modded WeiDU.7z check dialogues result.7z
  9. @subtledoctor hello, I uninstalled those mods and tested it again and same thing , crash to desktop. So i uninstalled klatu tweaks as well and tested again and still crashed. I then reinstalled everything except NPC_EE and Dual_to_kit, added level 1 npcs and played the game for a while. But I'm getting more crashes, all via dialogue. The first few options work then at a certain point, on selecting any of the available options, the game crashes. So i don't think this is a specific NPC_EE issue at all. Something else has gone wrong, I've had a look in NI but not really sure what i'm looking for, can't see anything really obvious. I'll make a new topic about it this evening. Thanks for having a look
  10. @subtledoctor Hello, I've attached the files you asked about, thanks for taking a look. I'll uninstall these and test NPC_EE, then if that works i'll add them back a componnent at a time and test each to try and work out which one it is. Thanks NPC EE - d5 files.7z
  11. @subtledoctor Hello, I probably done something wrong but when i try using the tome to change kit/stats etc I'm getting a crash to desktop. BG EE v2.6.6.0 from GOG, installed outside \program files (C:\GOG Games\BG EE\Baldur's Gate - Enhanced Edition) I've installed a lot of mods, as usual, install order mostly based off the weidu log you posted recently. With dual_to_kit components installed; start new game, leave candlekeep, meet imoen, tried using the tome just to see what happens and what happens is; click tome, dialogue box appears with 3 options, selecting either option 1 or 2 causes new, empty dialogue box to apear and game then crashes. Tried with party AI on and off Tried it again with Eldoth outside FAI and same thing happens. So I've uninstalled all the dual_to_Kit components and started a new game and the same thing is happening with Imoen. Any ideas? Almost certainly me trying to install too much stuff without having checked enough for compatibility but any suggestions would be good. I've checked, and i hadn't installed the same dual_to_Kit components you had used, could it just be that? *edit* I've just tried re-installing dual_to_Kit components 3 and 2 and retesting and its still crashing. Weidu log attached Thanks WeiDU log BG EE.7z
  12. Embarassingly, i hadn't actually even noticed that button. That was just what I needed, wish I spotted it ages ago. Can I ask how the new sorting order feature will work? Am I going to need to create a new sorting order .csv file, using the component names instead of the component numbers? Thanks
  13. Hello @AL|EN hopefully you can help with this. Im having some strange issues with PI; 1 - Component numbers not showing for some mods. For some reason the component numbers are not showing for some mods, resulting in them not getting sorted correctly and ending up in the unsorted mods section. As an example, when selecting the first Ascension component, instead of this; ascension:0:Rewritten Final Chapter of Throne of Bhaal It shows as this; Ascension-RewrittenFinalChapterOfToB;Ascension - Rewritten Final Chapter of Throne of Bhaal Its affecting quite a lot of mods, the attached file shows them all. I know some in the unsorted section are there because i either need to change their name in the sorting order file, or added them in but I'm not sure how the components without numbers would get the sorting order applied to them. 2 - After applying sorting order, some mods were replaced with System.Object[] I can't seem to replicate this now, not sure what happened but a number of mods/mod components in the install sequence were replaced. I've worked out which ones it was and tried selecting some of them and applying the same sorting order but its not happening now, so might have just been a one off. 3 - add feature - deselect all currently selected mods. Would it be possible to add a button to PI that deselects all selected components? Now that some mods stay selected after restarting PI, but others don't, I've managed to get myself in a right muddle so I was wondering if you could add the option to clear all. This might all be because im doing something daft but im not sure, any help appreciated and thanks for all your work onPI Warning! Unsorted mods.7z
  14. Im not sure exactly which mod does it, but in my BGT game there are loads of different hobgoblins - shamans (shamen?), wizards, slayers, captains etc I'll have a lok in a bit and see where they are from. They usually spawn in mobs of 8/9 with a mixture of the different types.
  15. @Oloriniel it's easily done. I've lost count of the number of times i've completed an install only to realise i meant to change something and forgot. Hopefully not having the stutterdebug installed in the middle of the install will sort some, if not all, the issues you were having.
  16. @Olorinielare you trying to play the game with the stutterdebug tool installed? From the weidu log you've uploaded, its installed in about the middle of your install. It isn't mean to be used while playing the game and could well be the cause of things not working, like cut scenes. From the readme; "The tool functions like a normal WeiDU mod and can be installed and completely deinstalled like one. It is supposed to be installed directly onto your game. For EET, it can be installed after EET-end. The tool is not meant to be included into a normal playthrough."
  17. @jacklhoward Hello again It's probably worth giving the start of the BWP pdf a read and having a look at these if you haven't already, they helped me a lot. http://www.shsforums.net/topic/41036-faq-for-the-megamods/ https://forums.beamdog.com/discussion/74335/project-infinity-mod-manager-for-baldurs-gate-icewind-dale-planescape-torment-and-eet You could just use the BiG World Install pack. It works fine but you don't have as much choice in which mod components get installed as you do if you use Project Infinity. You can try editing the batch file, as described in the pdf (The Calling is in an odd place in 19.2 so you might want to try moving it to where it used to be). If you want to try using PI, this is what I do. Im not saying its the best way but it works for me. Install both games outside of \program files, patch them and then start a new game for each one. Create a \extracted mods folder Extract all the mods you want to use into it. Create back-ups of Baldur's Gate and BGII Start Project Infinity. Add the relevant file paths of your installed games and extracted mods folder Expand out each mod and select the components you want in the 'Install Order' pane. Click the 'Set-Install Sequence' button Copy everything in the Install sequence pane into a notepad document and save it as something like 'mods selected', it's useful to have but probably unnecessary. Select the sorting order .csv file you want to use. Click the 'Apply-SortingOrder' Button and wait a while, the more stuff in your install sequence the longer this will take. You should then have a sorted install sequence. Copy that into another notepad document, this is necessary. This is the slightly fiddly bit. BGT creates a couple of .tp2 files and exe's - setup-GUI and Setup-BGTMusic and therefore you won't have entries for them in your install sequence so they won't get installed as you won't of been able to select them. Empty the 'Install Sequence' pane, then from your notepad doc copy all the lines up to and including bgt:0:Baldur's Gate Trilogy - Core Paste that into PI and click 'Start-Installation' Wait for that to finish, you might need to make a couple of selections for component options. Once thats finished change the Extracted mods path to your BGII game and you should then have setup GUI and BGTMusic listed in the pane on the left. Select then bits you want and click 'Set Installation Sequence'. You'll then need to copy and paste these 2 lines into the remainder of your installation sequence in the right place (check the pdf) or copy them and the remaining install sequence into the Install Sequence pane and apply the sorting order again. Then just click Start-Installation again and it will finish installing everything else. Hopefully that makes some kind of sense. I've attached my most recent sorting order file. It's based on BWP pdf 19.2 which is Leonardo's hard work i just made a .csv file out of his PDF. BWPv19.2a sorting order.7z
  18. @jacklhoward yeah it is a auto mega mod installer but I use the pdf to create a sorting order to use with PI. All because I wanted multi-class grand mastery (super cheese but my game so who cares.) Project Infinity is, I find, really useful for installing stuff. It does take a little getting used to, and you'll want to take a little time to get everything in the right folders and all set-up ready t ogo. But once you are sorted it makes things so much easier. Once you've got the mods you want to use downloaded and extracted into a folder, point PI at it and it'll show you all the options, select what you want then apply sorting order, which can take a little while. This is your installation sequence, copy and paste that into a notepad doc. The main issue with a BGT install is that the setup-GUI options are created by BGT itself so you'll need to split the install slightly. You install up to and including BGT then add the gui line into the remaining install sequence. I don't think i've explained that too well. I have to go out now but i'll try and write up what i do properly later on. Give the bwp pdf and PI a look. It takes a little while to get it all sorted but once you've got it working it is really good. And I have sorting orders made so can upload if you want.
  19. Hello Have a look at the big world project pdf over at spell hold. The newest version, 19.2, does put the calling in an odd place though for some reason. Are you using PI to install everything or are you doing it manually? If using PI I've got sorting orders based in the 4 most recent versiins of bwp, if that's any help.
  20. I know you guys don't usually like to close threads and let people dig their own hole, but this might be the exception as @Almateria has said. This may very well devolve into incel central and no one should have time for that retarded bunch of bollocks
  21. The bungie sex swing gimp with his flame thrower guitar is awesome, im glad someone finally pointed that bit out. What more do you need from a film?
  22. @ALien that's fixed it, thank you. I really need to google things better
  23. Hello I've got another crash to desktop, with this error; ASSERTION FAILED! File: ChDimm.cpp Line: 7641 Exp: pBiffHeader->dwFileType != mmioFOURCC('B', 'I', 'F', 'C') Msg: c:\bgt all\bgii - soa\cd5\DATA\AREA610A.BIF: attempted to use compressed BIF from CD, check free hard drive space I've got loads of free hard drive space so don't think thats the problem. What's happening is, im in area L#NI14 (a Tangled Oak isle area), I've given the person the thing they want, they open a portal, i click on that to go to next area and the game crashes with the above error. Tangled Oak version 2.02 according t othe readme. Not the most recent i know but i couldnt see this specific issue mentioned in the change log for the most recent version. Anyone got any ideas on how to fix? Thanks
  24. @Gwaihir I've had the same issue happen to me, Daeveron not dropping the key. I think SCS had acidentally replaced it with some random item. I do have quite a lot of mods installed, some of which had added items to him so I think the key got moved to a different space than normal and got replaced but I don't know if or how SCS, or any other mod, adds/replaces items carried by NPCs and whether there are any checks regarding adding/replacing/overwriting essential items. I had to use the console to add in the key. I don't know/ didnt check about any other items he had and whether they all dropped or not.
  25. Hello Daulmakan's Item Pack for Baldur's Gate II already replaces the icons for some of the items listed. Copied from the readme; "new BAMs for Perdue’s Sword, Edwin’s Amulet, History of the Sisters of Light and Darkness, and the Vial of Mysterious Liquid." http://www.shsforums.net/topic/41865-item-pack-v18/ I have no idea if this mod works on the EE versions of the games. New icons for all the other stuff listed in the first post would be great though. Thanks
