About Jarin

  1. Just curious: Why is the news of the new update not up on the G3 news page? Because this is... ... Okay I can imagine that whoever writes the news pages was just lost for words, but still!
  2. I take it you haven't played BF4 then? It's not nearly as bad as you think .
  3. Hmm. Weidu doesn't seem to like BGEE for some reason. I have a very fresh BGEE install (With a savegame in the Friendly Arm and all that), and it just won't install. I knew from the beta that Weidu needed a workaround for BGEE installs to work properly, but now it seems like those issues have been resolved, yet I get the exact same problem I had when I didn't use that workaround (As in, it flat out won't do anything). Also, what's that Install [test] line doing there? EDIT: Hmm. It seems it only affects the auto-installer, not the actual setup-stratagems.exe. That's a bit weird, it might be a windows 8.1 preview thing.
  4. First of all, "Make Raasad a Sun Soul Monk" is deprecated - BGEE V1.2 already includes it by default. It sounds like your dialog file changed between saves, which causese hickups like this to occur. Don't know how to fix that though.
  5. Alright, thanks wisp! Have yourself a cookie .
  6. I have never debugged an IE game (common procedure is to just trash the entire thing and start over), so I will need some pointers on how to give you more information, I am afraid .
  7. The component Skip Candlekeep has a gaurd take you to gorion once you are done shopping. In BG:EE - the gaurd is there to give you the cash and such, but he is gone once you are done shopping. The gaurds in the Friendly Arm attack with yawns as their battle shouts (not sure if this is an EE bug or an SCS bug)
  8. That did it. I am getting a succesfully installed across the board - will play tomorrow . Curious - I just started poking trough the .ini file. What does "Enable_Easy_Option" mean?
  9. Alright, the installer atleast installs some parts now... Debug file is attached. 00766.zip
  10. Oh dear, it seems that the installer has had no effect. The Weidu.log on my install is still empty, and nothing shows up in teh game. I am quite certain that I followed the instructions on the SCS readme very thoroughly... I have attached my debug files. setup-stratagems - Copy.txt setup-stratagems_autoinstall - Copy.txt
  11. Seems to install on BG:EE without errors (except for the BG2 components, obviously). NOw lets just hope that BG:EE patches won't break everything.
  12. I am afraid you have to be patient. A mod of this size is rather hard to port, as it changes a whole lot of things (there is much more work involved then just "add extra banters" - AFAIK the Tutu version of this mod also had to touch a whole lot of underlying things), and so does BG:EE (the whole structure of modding and such has changed - Even WeiDU needs to be converted!) The creators and maintaners of this mod are putting all the time and energy they can spare into this (which never has been much, and I suspect it has grown even smaller due to that thing known as "moving on in life"). They do know how much people like this mod - if there are meaningfull updates, they will keep you informed - there is no need to beg them for it. But I am sure that they apreaciate your support regardless .
  13. I thought BGT already fixed the green water when it was installed? I think I read that somewhere in the readme or a faq...
  14. The question for me is then this: Why is a mod that is considered so bloody awfull (by reading last responses) such a popular topic of dicussion? Why not ignore it and let it rest in obscurity?
