  1. Added information on ToB lovetalks.
  2. In general the only issue is her alignment, which means she'll be unhappy if you get a low reputation (and eventually leave it becomes too low). Otherwise it's just the standard "extremely evil actions" that will cause a problem e.g., handing over the silver dragon eggs to the demon. Glad you're having fun
  3. My brother decided to buy me the SEGA Mega Drive: Ultimate Collection for Christmas. Yay for more Golden Axe-age on my Xbox!
  4. Hmmm... if the variable is set to 12 (an even number) if means the talk is midway through running. Clearly in your case it's not, so I'm guessing you interupted it somehow. Set G#TF.Lovetalk back to 11 and the next talk should run.
  5. Nope, no restrictions like that. Be human, elven or half-and-half and have a penis. That's it.
  6. How the hell haven't I made a smutty comment in response to this thread's title?
  7. Here we go... Is Tyris Flare a WeiDU mod? Of course. She will play nicely with all other WeiDU mods. Is there Throne of Bhaal content? Absolutely! Make sure you've got at least version 4 and the story will continue all the way to the end. But do I need Throne of Bhaal? Nope. The mod works perfectly well with a Shadows of Amn only install. Though there was a bug prior to version to 4 that meant this was not the case. Do I need to start a new game? You shouldn't need to, no, but it can't hurt. What class/attributes/hair colour does Tyris have? Please read the "Tyris Flare, the NPC" thread to find out more. Haven't you just stolen this character from Golden Axe? Technically, yes. Though I'd like to think of it more as an homage. There's even a thread here to discuss this. As stated in the readme, if Sega wants to bitch slap me for this, the mod will quietly disappear into the night... Where can I find Tyris? In the Umar Hills during the day. Kind of near the cave... Why is there no audio? Aha, you must have an extremely early version. In the first couple of releases of Tyris, she had very limited voicing, however as of Version 3 she has all the voicing you'd expect from a BioWare NPC. Can I romance/shag Tyris? Yes/yes if your character is male and either human, elf or half-elf. What are the romance's variables? Pretty much the regular naming scheme, but prefixed. So if you want to check what state the romance is in check "G#TF.TyrisRomanceActive". If its 1, it's the early romance; 2 it's serious; 3 you killed it. If you want to check which lovetalk you're upto, check her local variable "G#TF.Lovetalk". How many lovetalks are there? In total there are 23 lovetalks in SoA and 8 in ToB (plus flirts, interjections, romance conflicts etc). So if you check "G#TF.Lovetalk" and the value is 47, that means you're at the end of the SoA romance track. In Throne of Bhaal, if you check "G#TF.ExpLovetalk" and the value is 15, you're just got the pre-final fight talk to go...

    ToB news

Probably a good idea, given how different they are. Some might say *too* different...
  9. Valid questions. The LT 34 conflict with Aerie and Jaheira forces a choice. And Tyris interjects into: Aerie LT 18 ("I don't know if I can face this wretched existence on the ground...") Aerie LT 26 ("I just feel like collapsing here and dying...") which forces a choice Jaheira LT 22 ("I worry sometimes...") Viconia LT 16 ("I may have been exceedingly harsh in my treatment of you once again...")
  10. Here's the outline of Tyris' romance track, with appropriate additional information: SoA 2 - "What made you become an adventurer?" 4 - "Did you get revenge on Sarevok?" 6* - "Do you still want to hear about my parents?" 8 - "A page fell out of your diary..." 10 - "Who was Bhaal?" 12 - "What was Candlekeep like?" (Conflict: J, V) 14 - "Aren't you curious about my warpaint?" 16 - "Have you heard of the Golden Axe?" 18* - "Why don't you talk about your old companions?" 20 -"I feel guilty about my companions..." (Conflict: A, V) 22 - "I'm not used to walking everywhere..." 24 - "Do you remember the first time you killed a man?" 26 - "How do you want to die?" 28 - "Sorry for the teary-eyed nonsense" 30 - "Do you think I should cut my hair?" 32 - "How do you cure the hiccups?" 34* - "Aches and pains" (Conflict: A, J) 36 - "Parlour tricks" 38* - "A bit of fun..." 40 - "Mmm... morning" 42 - "I lied..." (Romance becomes serious) 44 - "Have you ever died?" 46 - "There's something I want you to have..." ToB 2 - "It felt like we'd settled down" 4 - "I can't believe what that monster said..." (After Master Wraith) 6* - "What do you want?" 8* - "So much blood..." (After Saradush sacked) 10 - "My love, before we get going..." 12 - "Just feel the air..." (Triggered in a desert location) 14 - "Do you ever think about the day we first met?" 16 - "This is it, isn't it?" (After final Pocket Plane encounter) * Triggered on rest
  11. Please note this screenshot is currently inaccurate as with v6, she has now been dual classed at Level 7. New screenshot will be uploaded as soon as I can be bothered to take one. When asked about her life before meeting you, TYRIS seems hesitant. When pushed she tells you about growing up in a small village on the edge of a large jungle. She was taught skills of fighting and survival by her parents and taught the ways of the arcane by the village shaman. Then one day she returned home to find her parents killed, apparently murdered by the villainous "Death Adder", however she refuses to give much more detail than this. She soon left the village and met up with a group of like-minded adventurers who were also keen to take revenge on Death Adder. They proceded to attack Death Adder's castle and it was duing this assault that she was transported to Toril.
  12. The character first appeared in the Golden Axe game for the Mega Drive/Genesis (and also in arcades if memory serves) and again in the sequel. She was tastefully dressed in a bikini (not even a chainmail bikini!), kicked-ass and set people on fire. It was awesome. In the early 90's Golden Axe was turned into a comic strip which appeared as part of Fleetway's Sonic the Hedgehog comics. Visually she looked quite different in this, however you can see that they saw what was important and kept her in a bikini More recently the character was reinvented in Golden Axe: Beast Rider for current generation consoles. A bit more clothing this time and some awesome war paint. How does all this relate to my version of Tyris Flare? Well, in terms of background I've based her on the original Golden Axe games. Visually, I've gone with the Beast Rider look because it gave her an awesome look and I could steal some of the art for her portraits. Whenever it doesn't clash with the previous game's canon, I've also taken bits and pieces from the plot and background of this game e.g., her people worship a dragon. And the comics? Well, I admit I didn't take much from there. In fact, I only took one thing: her insults. If you play my NPC version of Tyris, you'll notice she uses phrases like "guld's blood", "demon's breath" and "fiend's teeth". These come directly from the comics. Presumably because they couldn't say "fuck".
  13. I don't see any reason why not.
  14. Well it's meant to be a little cramped, hence the reason why she bathes and you don't. Uncomfortable? Once in the sense that you get wet. As I said before she's been beckoning you forward so by the time she grabs you, you're leaning over that bath to a ridiculous to degree. Her pull just topples you over, but it's not some ridiculous fall where either of you would suffer injury. As the flirt suggests it ends with a RestParty() action so you won't be wandering around in soggy clothes for long. And as for the pissed off staff, almost certainly, however that RestParty() might lose something if it was preceded by you losing gold to pay a fine to the innkeeper Don't worry we have other bathing flirts, both inside and outside. Don't think we'll let another one go quite yet though...
  15. Okay, I decided to merge this with the flirt thread, because it's feedback relating directly to it. Heh. Well it's meant to be a playful (if sudden) pull into the bath rather than a violent yank. So yeah, you end up with a damp player lying on top of Jelina (who I think we can assume is careful enough not to get herself brain damaged in your foreplay). In my mind it's not ridiculously hard to picture (but then again I knew what we meant when we wrote it). If everyone ends up in a state of confusion we'll see about rephrasing it
  16. Yet more flirty goodness for your enjoyment...
  17. Well Aklon is already there on the list of mods signed up for Crossmod and I know for a fact that BigRob is still interested.
  18. Okay, we admit we've been teasing you a bit with Flirt Previews. But as you've been all restrained and not asked 'Is it done yet? How about now?' (well except some pesky Gibberlings...) we've decided to give you a proper preview of the mod. This lovetalk is 'Lovetalk 20' so the 10th lovetalk you'll encounter in game (about a third of the way through the total romance). Enjoy! And finally, in response to a question by theacefes, we thought we'd let you hear Jelina's Love Theme. The track is El Mariachi by Robert Rodriguez and is from the Once Upon A Time In Mexico soundtrack. We'd love to know what you think! Jelina__s_Love_Theme.mp3

    FAQ

Not as such, no. There are banters where she gets into some fairly deep debates on life/religion/etc, however she doesn't try to force her faith on any of the party.
  20. Grim Squeaker

    FAQ

Behind the scenes we've done a bit of talking about various topics for banters with the other G3 NPCs. And of course her information will be added to the Crossmod Romance Conflicts component. Beyond that we haven't thought much about it yet.
  21. Grim Squeaker

    FAQ

There's a lovetalk specifically on that topic, as well as her opinion on lack of pubes.

    FAQ

Well, there almost certainly will be some Crossmod Banter between the two but we will be very careful not to break the fourth-wall. It's possible we might slip the word 'charmed' itself into a banter, but as I said, we want to keep everything serious and in-character i.e. no 'if there's a 3rd edition of this world blah blah blah...' Well, you're half right. After the business in the Umars Hills is concluded you have to return to the temple in order to ask the Dawnmaster in charge of her training whether it's okay for her to travel with you for a while (so I guess that could constitute a very mini-quest in addition to her test later). However, if you ditch her from the party she can't just hang around in the temple waiting for you, she has to complete her training i.e. if you ditch her, you won't see her again (until ToB, where you'll have an interesting summoning dialogue - I hope).
  23. Heh, however the Charisma attribute doesn't just mean how attractive she is. 13 is still above average and reflects her appearance and general niceness. However, she isn't some amazing diplomat or James Bond's twin sister.
