  1. 7/12/04 Well, its been a good long while since the last update hasn't it? First of all let me say that this project is not dead, it just hasn't made any progress recently. Zandilar has been very busy with RL and so hasn't been able to get any Viccy writing done recently. I'll tell you all when production gets going again...
  2. 29/11/04 It seems there has been much interest in this project recently, so I should probably post some kind of progress report. Currently we have a decent outline of the backstory and plot for the sisters, so we know what we're gonna do with them as the story progresses (more or less). As you can see we also have two wonderful introduction dialogues for the characters. Lovetalk wise we have 5 Keli lovetalks (none of them coded so far) and 7 Inara lovetalks (5 of them coded so far). I shall try to keep you updated when significant progress is made.
  3. Q: How come it requires ToB? Is it some scripting or spells or wild mages or something?

  5. RULES NB: Please, don't write material for another person's NPC without the permission of the author. If you want to add new crossmod material then simply post it in this forum and I'll code it up in the case of banters, interjections, romance conflicts etc. I'll need details like dialogue filenames etc. Also, please don't submit material for mods that haven't been released yet (Public beta is fine also). I'll require proof that the authors of the mods for which the material is for, have approved the new material (Ignore this point if you are the author of all the mods involved). This can be a simple as them posting that its ok, a link to them saying that you can write material for their mod or them contacting me saying its ok. I'd recommend the first of these options if two (or more) modders have worked together on material. Someone posts the new material and the other(s) posts just to say 'Yes, I did help work on this'. I won't modify the material without the writers permission when I come to code it other than correcting grammar and spelling mistakes. FAQ Q: So what does this mod do? A: It adds new material to Baldur's Gate 2 between various existing mods. Q: So when do I install it? A: As the last mod you install. It will check which (if any) mods you have installed and if there is written material between any of them it will install it. Q: So what material is currently in the mod? A: Please check the pinned thread in the forum for current material list or alternatively check the readme. Q: Wasn't this mod called 'Banter Packs: Part Deux' or something? A: Yes, that was its work in progress name. However, Jason Compton and I decided it really wasn't the best name as confusion would arise on whether 'one more contained the other' or similar. Q: So this has nothing to do with the PPG Banter Packs? There are no compatibility issues then? A: Thats right. Q: I want to add my material to the mod. A: That's fine. Please read the rules above before submitting something though. Q: I tried to contact the author of a mod to get permission but (s)he didn't respond. That means its ok for me to write material for their character, right? A: No. I don't want to piss off some modder by 'putting words in the mouth of their NPC' or similar.
  6. Well, no-one obviously, its just I imagine people will get confused trying to browse dialogues if they don't have the standard naming scheme.
  7. That not easy with dialogue files! Because by the time you reach ToB yo'll have your 4 better prefix, a letter for the dialogue filetype plus 25. That gives you, a letter!

  16. Feel free to post your questions in this thread and I'll update it accordingly. Q: Why have you made Viconia bisexual? A: This is a long and complicated issue. If you want to read more about our reasons for it then feel free to read the original Viconia Relationship thread. Q: But I don't think she is bisexual! A: Then don't install the mod . Q: How long will the pre-decision point part of the relationship be? A: Probably around 20-25 talks but there won't be as long a gap between them as you would get in your standard romance.
  17. 5/4/04 CamDawg has kindly given us a forum for the Viconia Relationship. The original thread is still available for viewing if you want to. Currently two relationship talks have been written and coded. A third is currently being finalised.
  18. This mod will do a few things. First of all, with this mod installed then Viconia becomes bisexual - if you don't like that then don't install it. This is important because this mod allows a female PC to have a friendship with Viconia that, if you interest Viconia, could lead to a romance. Where the male romance has two stages; 'Early flirty romance' and 'Serious romance', this relationship has 'Getting to know you/Form a friendship' and then a point of decision. The relationship can go in various different directions at this point. Viconia will take notice of how much you have been nice to her and taken her interest and also how much (if any) you have flirted with her through dialogue and forcetalk options. She may approach you romantically at the decision point. She may want to remain friends. She may decides she's had enough of you. If it goes into a romance then you will after that get the standard 'Early flirty romance' and 'Serious romance' stages. Feel free to check the Progress thread and FAQ thread for more information.
  19. At the moment I'm compiling a major backstory and character profiles document for my two lovely writers. Once we've ironed it out (not literally) and finally settled on something that works (taking into account changes based on new information), then I should be able to give a decent answer to your questions (and will probably start a FAQ'n'IAQ - pronounced fakunak).
