About n00b2k9

  1. There was the confusion. I hadn't worried about the sprite death variable since Edwin wasn't dead. Somehow it had been. Maybe it had something to do with taking the vampires' side and fighting the thieves' guild. Either way, now it works, and thank you again for the help!
  2. I played SoA through but didn't complete the thieves' quests and thus didn't meet Edwin. Now, unfortunately for me, the pocket plane won't let me summon him. This rather irks me, since I left Jaheira and Minsc rotting in Irenicus' dungeons and Aerie was still ogre-ized in the circus when I finished the game (I was in a bad mood) and I was still able to summon them. This is unfair and I protest. I've tried comparing flags and variables from games where I could and did summon Edwin to the current game where I can't, but I don't quite know what I'm looking for. Is there a way to spawn a game-appropriate Edwin in the pocket plane? Just spawning him using the CLUA console gives me the Eddie I meet in Mae'Var's guild house, and obviously that's a no-go. What am I to do? Of all the arrogant, self-centered, abrasive schmucks I know, Edwin's my favorite. It's not an adventure without Edwin. Thanks for the assistance.
  3. Additional gratitude to you, too. I've downloaded and installed it (and getting it to run the first time was an adventure in itself) and once I figure everything out I should be good to go. Thanks for the assist!
  4. If I had the slightest idea what that was, I'd use it. I'll meander off and find a link somewhere. Spank you very much!
  5. I'm new to the whole modding scene and I'm using DLTCEP to just look around and try to help myself figure out how things work. One feature I was looking for but couldn't find is one that would let me search dialogs, scripts, and so forth all at the same time for certain instances of specific words, triggers, and such. What I mean is, for example, if I want to find every instance of the word "Drow" in all the dialogs or trigger "X" in the scripts without having to open each one individually, is there a function that would allow me to do that? (I know it's probably already there, but there's no flashing neon sign saying, "Hey, Stupid!" so I haven't found it yet.) Thanks for the help, all.
