  1. About time Weidu got something GUI related. That archaic line coding is so 70s and 80s
  2. That's good. Always liked NI, can't use the old TeamBG tools on the EE games any way. Of all of those tools wish someone could update or do another Area Editor. Always liked the functionality of that.
  3. What's new in the modding scene since 2021? Tools, updates to the EE games, other things?
  4. Ah yes, forgot about the direct links for the downloads. Probably do a rebuild late next month or December. Can't use the baldursgatemods.com and chosenofmystra.com domains because some profiteering POS bought them. I'm going to put everything on the teambg.net domain in the rebuild. I have it currently on my GoDaddy account, going to transfer it to my domain account where baldursgatemods.com was at. As long as my forum's database is still good, everything will be fine. The data on there goes back to 2005.
  5. The owner, me, was in a dark place for a couple of years and it seems I didn't have the baldursgatemods.com and chosenofmystra.com domains on auto renew. Where are my community's mods now?
  6. I need an experienced coder to redo the coding for the banters of Nina and Callisto from my Undying mod. I keep seeing people complain about the dialogs firing off or not. I really don't have the time to mess around with this to be quite frank about it, plus I would have to relearn modding since I've been out of it for a good many years. Apply here or at the mod's forum.
  7. First I recall it being used was either TeamBG or FWStudios. But then again my memory of way back when is getting more vague with each passing year.
  8. First thing I'm doing. Since this mod will be using area resources from IWD and PST, I'll be using the EE versions of the TIS and MOS files. So time will be spent extracting those files and renaming them to the appropriate name in the mod.
  9. So is this the Big World Project or whatever that mod is called at SHS, replacement?
  10. More than 50%. I did tinker around with it after all that data loss but I gave up and retired. My main concern is the TP2 file and try to make heads and tails of the 5700+ lines of coding to install the mod as is and go from there.
  11. Never heard of either one of those
  12. Since I've been out of the modding loop since, lets say 2016, has there been any changes in the EE games in regards to modding? Coding, scripting, mod installation, etc.
  13. Downloaded the current versions of the Beamdog EE games, made another copy of BG2EE. Found the current up to date mod files on my old hard drive and copied them over to the second copy of BG2EE. Downloaded current versions of Near Infinity and Weidu. Don't think I missed anything.
  14. No need to. I have multiple hard drives on this PC not to mention my own home Cloud and removable USB Flash drives.
  15. I may be showing interest after all. I did all this during my usual game playing time. Fixed a bunch of broken image links, mainly in my private work room. Now I know what is going to where and so forth. Also added some new images to the public forum.
  16. The Undying what would have been my epic mod if version 3 were to be released. Some background on myself. I've been playing, modding the BG games ever since Baldur's Gate came out in 98 and TeamBG had some tools you could use to mod the game. Quite primitive by today's standards now. Over the years I've created mods, made my own mod community, one of the oldest still functional. I was glad that Beamdog made the Enhanced Editions, I was even invited to be a beta tester on the BG games. They brought new life to one of my favorite game series. But around the time Dragonspear was released, I was finally starting to suffer burnout from modding these games and even playing them. I haven't even played BGEE with Dragonspear yet suffice to say. Also around this time I was 80-90% done with The Undying version 3.0 when shit hit the fan and everything came tumbling down. I have various versions of the games installed on my PC, like 00783, 0783~, 07833~~ and so on. Anything with a ~ after the folder name contains mod in progress files. As fate would have it, I renamed a folder which had TU 3.0 to do some testing. I forgot to change the folder name back when I was done and a few days later BG2EE had an update and I updated the game and lost everything that I worked on with my mod. Devastating. The other 0783 modded folders had older versions TU 3 and they were only 40-50% done. For a while I tried to salvage what I could and try to go on but I finally gave up. In the past I've lost important mod data, especially in regards to a large Icewind Dale mod I was working on. With that final straw being broken, I retired from modding and basically left the scene, only to show up once in a while. Last week I was looking over an old hard drive, which has the game and mod files on and since then, I've been wondering if I should get back into the mod scene and get this done. I've even used some ideas of this mod in a fantasy story I'm writing. If I did get back into this, I would be a rookie again, seeing a lot of changes in modding and a lot of forgotten information. We'll see I guess
  17. My first modding news topic since 2015. The Saerileth romance mod has reached version 19. This recent release includes an updated Russian translation. Who is Saerileth? Saerileth is an outer-planar human, sent to Toril for a specific mission. She is a young paladin of Tyr who is romanceable. Saerileth can be picked up in the Temple District, in front of the Order of the Radiant Heart. She has two quests for you to undertake. Download and enjoy! Saerileth website Saerileth forums
  18. For some reason I'm just not excited about this. I would have been 5-6 years ago. Now if they had Bioware when they still had some of the original developers there, it would have been interesting.
