  1. Lol, I know I should know this, but is there a way to 'plug in' to this mod? That is, if I have a spell, is there a way to assign it to a sphere, or if I have a kit, is there a way to assign spheres to it?

  5. I don't think it's so much that @Endarire doesn't take this seriously. I think he takes all of this very seriously. I think that he probably feels like he is following these guidelines... I have had a few conversations with him about this, and he seems primarily concerned with compatibility and preservation. I think he takes himself to be doing this stuff to _merely_ preserve and maximize compatibility. I think he could be mistaken about that, but even if so, I think it's a good faith mistake.

  7. Yeah, 1 seems like the better idea, imo. And hey, you can do 1, and when you get more confident with it, you can try 2(?) And yeah, Irenicus is one of my all time favorite villains. He really deserves to be the final big bad, imo. Amy should have a side quest at most.
  8. I don't know how far along this idea is, but just putting it out there that it is possible to change starting areas. A few years ago, I had it in my dumb brain that I was going to recreate the Queen of Krynn series of games in the infinity engine. Anyways, you can absolutely change your starting location without completely breaking everything. I had the main character start in (I believe it was) Beregost rather than Candlekeep in bgee. So, I think you could totally "keep" TOB, but tell a different story with it (that would have been my Dark Queen of Krynn game, lol)

  12. Love it! Makes sense if that is what you think is best. Maybe rangers are best handled in might & guile.
  13. That's cool. I could see something like this being a part of the paladin stronghold. A follower/mercenary mod where you could actually hire or attract helpers would be cool... Oohh, this is my favorite idea of the bunch. It's exactly up my alley as I'm working on some code that could probably be used to do something like this
  14. New release: 0.84.01 - Fixes an error that was preventing installation of 2E-style sphere system. (thanks to MagmaZarroc for catching this error). - Added code for future priest scroll additions (not yet available) Not necessary to upgrade during a current playthrough.   15. That makes sense. Do we need to even use ADD_SPELL for new spells, at least where we are installing one of the sphere systems? It won't mess with the scroll code. That only cares if it's a priest spell, and is not a subspell (i.e. the filename does not end with a letter following any three number combination).
  16. @sturmvogel There is also a log that appears right above your faiths_and_powers.exe (called something like faiths_and_powers.log). We also need that To be clear do _not_ install the test version I linked to you. I haven't updated that yet and it will not install.
  17. I know what the issue with the scroll component and it isn't this one (I forgot to copy over some files to the right folder in fnp and the install choked because of it). That's the update I was talking about. But no, I'm not adding any spells for the priest scroll thing. Sorry, I got a pm with the relevant error. I just assumed this was the same one.

  19. He hasn't posted it yet(?) Hopefully soon. I uploaded a version 0.84.00. The scroll component is still commented out. Otherwise, I added a function, some files, and a few tra entries. Shouldn't have any effect on anything else, including compatibility (especially given that the component is commented out). From what I understand @sturmvogelwas having the issue even with version 0.83.xx.
  20. @sturmvogel We'll need the log of mods that you shared with me but also the log that should appear right above your faiths_and_powers.exe Edit: that is after you try to install release 0.83.15 (i.e. not the test version--one thing at a time).
