About taltamir

  1. <3 This is great! BTW, the readme link is still for v13, (just letting you know in case there was a mixup; I know it takes time to update to documentation)
  2. The "Alter Weapon Proficiency System" can replace the new overly specific system in BG2 with a BG1 style system. As part of this tweak it alters weapon descriptions to match their role in the new system. The description for the item Storm Star +5 is not altered to match, and it still says mace proficiency, it should be blunt proficiency. EDIT: Also Club of Detonation +5 is not altered as well (but +3 is)
  3. Imoen adventurer kit trades in backstab modifier for +20 to detect trap and open lock... except her starting values for those 2 things in BG2 are 95 and 100 respectively. And from what I have been reading online, that is high enough for everything you would ever encounter in the game. I would suggest that when this option is enabled, that you redistribute 20 points away from open lock and 15 from detect trap. Getting both of these to 100 exactly and putting the spare points somewhere useful
  4. thank you, this worked. Not listed is step 3, actually reinstall that tweak
  5. The readme link on http://gibberlings3.net/npckit/ is broken it incorrectly leads to: http://gibberlings3.net/npckit/readmes/readme-npckit.html instead of: http://www.gibberlings3.net/readmes/readme-npckit.html
  6. Thank you for the answers. Funny thing, I only now noticed that there are different books with the same name. I have 10 completely different books under the name "history of the north". That being said, they are not unique; merely have duplicate names. I put all my books into a bottomless bag of holding and some stacked up inside it due to being duplicates, most didn't though due to being different even if their names were the same. So if books were stackable it will not be used all that often, but occasionally it would (especially when you are taking it out of the bag of holding) and that would be nice. It won't be used that often but it will be used occasionally and would be nice when it does. Actually, now that I think about it. Is there any technical reason against a mod that makes everything stackable? Only things I can think of is that trying to wear 50 helmets would cause a bug... but even if it did I would take that deal and just be very careful to break stacks before equipping an item.
  7. I hope this isn't inappropriate to request. But it would be an awesome addition to the other "stackable X" mods for BG2.
  8. Then pick up 11, unstack 1, drop 10, talk to the person, pick up 10, unstack 1, ... you get the idea. It's a royal pain. Far easier to have 12 in your inventory and just talk repeatedly until everything's sold. It would be even better to mod the shopkeeper to take all of them at once and pay you 500GP PER pelt rather than 500 regardless of how many you brought.
  9. I see, thank you for the details. I think I will just finish up the BG1 portion of BGT and then restart using a clean reinstall of BG2 with all the new mods I want
  10. What if I am feeling adventurous? Or is it really that risky? Are we talking 90% to corrupt the game? 10%?
  11. http://www.gibberlings3.net/readmes/readme-bg2tweaks.html still says latest version is 12. Also, it does not say how to upgrade from older version of the tweakpack to latest one (for example, v12 to v13).
  12. BG2 tweaks v12 The romance tweak and minimum score tweak do not properly remember their setting, so attempting to modify the installation of BG2 Tweaks with either of those installed inappropriately halts the installer process until the user intervenes. Step 1: Install all tweaks, including the romance tweak and the tweak that lets you select a minimum ability score for all kits/classes. When done, exit the installer. Step 2: Run the installer again to make changes. Select to only disable cosmetic tweaks. change the setting on one of the cosmetic tweaks saying no to the rest. At this point the entire tweakpack is going to be uninstalled and then reinstalled with the last configured setting. A fully automatic process that goes tweak by tweak and reinstalls it. However, the minimum ability scores tweak and the romance tweak both break this process to ask you to reinput all the choices you made when you first installed them.
  13. I figured it would be ok because I was only using it to add the "NPCs wait in inns" to an already started game whose directory structure I backed up (I would install more components in a later playthrough) But then I thought better of it and used v21 for it (works like a charm, thank you) That being said. I figured I am going to help playtesting what I can to find any possible issues with the beta. It is not, I just redownloaded it and extracted it to C:\test it simply does NOT create a file called "SETUP-STRATAGEMS_AUTOINSTALL.TP2" resulting in instant failure as soon as the exe is ran. It DOES create a file called "SETUP-STRATAGEMS.tp2" under one of the subfolders, but no "SETUP-STRATAGEMS_AUTOINSTALL.TP2" anywhere
  14. This fails to install for me. I have GOG versions with BGT installed in C:\Games\Baldur's Gate II\ I ran the exe, told it to extract into the above directory, and every time the stratagems exe is ran it fails to find a needed file.
