  1. For some reason, trying to install SR and SCS together in the EET tool gives me 2 conflicts. Previously, you could use the native IWD spells from SCS to install IWD spells but now it is giving me an error for divine spells from IWD.

    Secondly, Spell Revisions is said to conflict with SCS's smarter mages. Given that smarter mages is a big part of the SCS install, I was hoping someone could shed light on why they are suddenly conflicting.

    I am getting this error too. The user's provided solution worked for me.

  4. If you have a modded game and you want to continue playing it to the end, you'd better skip the update for now. It will overwrite most of your files and you must start a new game.

    Hopefully you followed the instructions to have your modded game version separated from the GoG/Steam/Beamdog version.

    As a main rule: do not patch an ongoing game.

    And how was I supposed to do that? Steam automatically updates games with no way to stop it.

  5. Trying to install EET on another computer. Keep running into this problem at the very beginning of install (there is almost nothing in debug.log). Even downloading new copies of the tool, games, and downloaded mods does not fix this.

    The might and guile mod updated recently after a serious bug was discovered. How can I update this mod in my eet mod setup? Could I update the eet tool to use the newest version?

    I just updated to start a new installation and it says that the tool was updated to Might_and_Guile-3.7.8-0 some hours ago.

    Check the EE-Game-Setup-Version.txt that is in the same place as the start.vbs.

     

    Wow. Whoever maintains this tool, you are a wizard. That response time is astounding.

  7. Not sure at this point. I keep getting errors unless I fully reinstall the tool and to be on the safe side, the games.

     

    For example,

  8. Hi Roxanne. I am not sure what is going wrong. Every time I try to install EET either through your tool or through BWS, some new problem that I previously did not have pops up. For example, I installed Dark Horizons perfectly on my first try before running into an error of my own. However, ever since then, Dark Horizons will not install properly and this keeps happening with mods that previously had no issues in installing. Is there something I am doing wrong?

    I completely restore from backup installs that have been modmerged each time I try and I even manually download the mods with problems but I keep getting more errors

  9. Getting a lot of conflicts with Spell Rev and SCS in BWS. Does this mean that BWS does not have this version of Spell Rev modified SCS? How can I go about installing both Spell Rev and SCS then?

  10. I think I have a bug. According to the description, Ruby Ray should instantly dispel anything on the opponent right? As in, it will always dispel 1 spell protection?

     

    I keep getting "Spell ineffective" for it and instead, Kelben's Warding Whip seems to always dispel, along with its recurring property. Furthermore, I am intensely perusing the battle log on each mage fight, and I am not sure exactly what is happening. Either the aforemention bug of Ruby Ray exists, or spells are being applied but not shown on the battle log.

    For example, a mage casts a combo of Spell Trap, Spell Shield, and Dispelling Screen. I assume Ruby Ray should work and use it first. It says spell ineffective. Try from the bottom up. Spell Thrust, Secret Word, Pierce Magic. Pierce Shield. All Ineffective. Finally use Warding Whip. It works.

     

    Spellstrike works as usual, but obviously not the best solution.

    He is not a druid. Everyone was level 15 or higher (as in multis were just past 15-Jaheira-and single/duals were past 15)

  12. Hi, thanks for the mod. So far, going so well. I've got the Thief, Ranger, and Fighter stronghold quests going on but for some reason, the druid grove is not detecting Jaheira nor Cernd.

     

    Did I screw up somewhere or is there a bug?

    If True Seeing doesn't reveal the invisible target (it can happen if the target is under Non-detection) just wait for it to reveal himself (note that SR's True Seeing no longer fully dispel Improved Invisibility). As soon as the target is partially visible True Seeing allows you to directly cast Breach at the target even if he is under Improved Invisibility.

     

    Ohhhhhh. Ok, so I partially worked out my issues. I just realized that true seeing doesn't fully dispel. So, when I used spells that actually revealed invis like glitterdust, everything worked ok. However, I can't seem to do the breach after true seeing. The game still gives me "Cannot target invisible creature" message. Any idea what's going on?

  15. If I wanted to breach an invisible mage with spell protections like spell shield etc + non-detection + combat protections up, how would I go about doing this?

     

    I am able to kill them in my game, but have yet to figure out exactly how or why I am doing so apart from the ol reliable combo of spellstrike+pierce shield but I'd like to find alternate ways to do that.

     

    For example, is non-detection a spell protection able to be dispelled by Spell pierce or is it something I need other spells for?

    How is carrying around normals weapons boring or annoying at all? You are assigning the terms 'boring and annoying' to the simple act of carrying around an item. How is that BORING? Carrying items is a core part of rpg gameplay. If it's annoying, that goes back to the point of wands/summoning items/item switching in general. Better not use wave halberd at all since it's statistically inferior to other halberds you get at the same time (Dragon's Breath) since it's "ANNOYING" to switch weapons when presented with an opportunity to benefit from different weapons. Better not use the magical arrows except the most powerful since it's ANNOYING to switch arrows when confronted with different enemies. Better remove clay golems from the game since it's ANNOYING to switch weapons to actually hurt them.

    Your only valid criticism is that enemy ai does not recognize PfMW and that is a criticism not of the spell or carrying around normal weapons but a criticism of the ai for failing to recognize and compensating.
