  1. I remember in BG 1, you could easily buy hundreds of enchanted arrows with this component...I think I bought like 2000+ +2 arrows from several shops. Im playing through SOA now with the same component, but the shops dont appear to be selling much larger stacks. Ribald in the adventurer's mart only sells 5 stacks of +2 arrows and 4 stacks of +1 arrows. Is this intended?
  2. Edwin just casted the spell that turns him into female edwina, but the potrait is of the wrong size and he is frozen. He does not initiate dialog, his inventory cannot be accessed and he cannot be talked to... Edit : save : http://www.mediafire.com/file/ee5dlm1cp4iya14/000000072-Edwin.rar/file, just travel to trademeet to trigger the dialog. Edit 2 : Uninstalled the mod, same problem. I tried changing edwin's race to female via EEkeeper then talking to him to trigger the spell and everything went as normal...

  4. Unfortunately I dont have the save anymore, but if I get a savegame before entering the room I will upload it again. But if you want to get a savegame you should be able to start a new game in SOA and use the console to teleport into AR303 which is the second floor. I asked on the official forums and it seems one of the later patches moved the sword of chaos back to the genie again, guess the wiki has outdated info. Im still having trouble with some creatures having mixed up text. I did a full re-install and its still happening, I think one of the mods I have is updating dialog.tlk improperly. For example, the creature BSHOP02 has a bugged name text : "This humble staff radiates...". How do I figure out which mod is doing this? Do any of the weidu logs tell you which file was modified?

I reinstalled everything except scribe scrolls and the character names are fixed...but Edwin still dissapears when I go to the 3rd floor of the guildhall... http://gibberlings3.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=28843 This looks like the same problem I have...but spawning a new edwin via the console just causes him to dissapear. So whats the deal with Illyich not having the mail of the dead and the sword of chaos? Edit : Nevermind, I think AR304.BCS is set to hide Edwin until you complete Mae'Var's first task and get told to report to Edwin. But seeing him vanish after going to the 3rd floor makes it look like a bug.
  6. Some of the shadow thieves with Renal Bloodscalp also have bugged names. Like "3rd level spells (150gp)"...im confused by this because all the mods i installed were from the compatabile list... Went up to the 3rd floor of mae'var's guildhall, Edwin was there...but he simply vanished after a few seconds. If I try to talk to him, the game says that Edwin appears to be busy. Then he vanishes. Whats going on? Edit : Looks like the scribe spell scrolls component of atweaks is causing the weird character names...the weird thing is uninstalling that component doesnt revert the change...
  7. And for some reason Malaaq's name has been replaced with : (Select a spell level)? I completed the quest and got the sword of chaos +2...im confused, I thought the EE changed it so that you got a different item and the sword of chaos was moved to the cambion instead?
  8. I did a fresh installation of EET, loaded my SOD epilogue save and proceeded to the SOA campaign just fine. No issues...except that Illyich was only wearing normal leather armor instead of the mail of the dead. What gives?   9. So if i finish SOD then choose to start a BG 2 campaign, can i import my SOD savegame and start with a fresh worldmap?
  10. Can someone explain how this works exactly? I downloaded the scales of balance mod to try and figure it out, but im not sure which files are relevant. I figured out that mxsplwis.2da controls the bonus priest spells based on wis...but that doesnt determine whether paladins/rangers get bonus spells based on wis. Where is that defined? The mod also has a component that adds bonus spells based on intelligence, but its not clear which files do that...intelligence_sorcerers.txt just looks like gibberish for example. Any ideas?
  11. On the topic of fighter/sorcerers, wouldnt it be possible to make a mage kit that has spontaneous spellcasting? I know that the game can handle sorcerers with mage kits (they get the bonus spell slot and everything). I figured out how to make damage spells not do friendly fire damage, you have to edit the associated projectile. Im guessing no mod out there does this though? Its pretty time consuming to edit everything in near infinity.

  13. How does that mod work exactly? It doesnt explain the difference between the default spawn system and the mod spawn system.
  14. I dont know why EET_END is listed as the second installed mod, because the last time i updated the mods, I ran it last. So all I have to do is uninstall BP-BGT-WORLDMAP? Edit : I just uninstalled BP-BGT-WORLDMAP, ran EET_END again, and now my savegame in SOD crashes when I try to go to the world map... Im confused as to how im supposed to uninstall this BP-BGT-WORLDMAP thing without breaking your saves. The readme doesnt say anything and the mod page leads to the spell hold studios site which has been down for ages apparently. I started a new game in SOA and the world map now looks like what the EET world map should look like, but my SOD savegame crashes everytime i try to view the world map. Also i figured out why it was saying EET_END was the 2nd mod installed instead of the last one, choosing the reinstall option lists it as the 2nd mod installed in weidu.log.
  15. But when I talk to him, I only get the option to ask about the crusade plans...and Edwin has zero reaction to that. Whats the requirement to get the "What is this" line? If you load the save and go to the bridge, you can see that Edwin has zero reaction to Vichand.
  16. Before i go any further...so CDTweaks doesnt work with EE romances? Is there an existing mod that removes gender/racial checks for EE romances?

  18. Im trying to figure out why Edwin is not asking me to kill Vichand. He's already told me how he ran away from Dragonspear...which sets bd_edwin_talk to 3. I tried standing infront of Vichand, but Edwin has zero reaction to his prescence. I tried talking to Edwin manually, and he said "He was right there!" and I get the option to respond with "lets kill him now", which makes Vichand hostile. But this obviously makes no sense and im definately missing something. How do I trigger the dialogue where Edwin gives me the quest to kill Vichand? What am I missing? Edit : Looking through the dialog.tlk file, it looks like Edwin is supposed to comment on the spellstone with string reference 240057 : But it never triggered for me...infact, Edwin says absolutely nothing at all for the whole spellstone quest.   19. I just realised that cdtweaks has a component that removes gender checks for romances, so i installed it. But i still cannot get the romance talks to trigger if my character is female...I had to change the gender to male to get them to trigger. Are scripts not meant to update if you load a save or something?
  20. Im having issues with adoy's enclave and the cloudpeaks mountains. Generally, exiting a map via the appropriate edge will let you travel to the adjacent map. For example going east from beregost lets you go to to the temple, going west lets you go to high hedge. With these 2 locations, exiting via an adjacent map does not let you travel there. For example, it looks like adoy's enclave is right next to the gibberlings mountains and the valley of tombs. But exiting from these maps wont let you travel there...you have to exit south from the firewine ruins....which is FURTHER than either of those 2 locations... Another issue is that after visiting adoy's enclave, it is still highlighted blue as if it was unexplored. Similar issue with the cloud peak mountains...it looks like its west of nashkel, but going west from nashkel does not let you get there. You have to exit south from the nashkel mines to get there...which makes no sense because the mountains are west of nashkel...
  21. Im trying to do this for Neera to start off with. So I opened the NEERA.BCS script with NearInfinity and remove the two gender checks, without touching anything else. Im in the BG 1 campaign and Neera has given the forest talk and the adoy side quest. However i dont seem to be getting any of the romance talks at all (my character is female, hence the script change). Im not in a romance with any other companion. Im wondering if the script change I made only takes effect on a new game? Or does it work if I load a save as well? I did some searching and I cannot find any concrete answers on how to start the romance talks with the console. The closest i got was a thread that says the romance variable can be checked via : CLUAConsole:GetGlobal("neera_romance","global") but when I try it, I am told no such variable exists. Looking at the script again, I think it got renamed to NeeraRomanceActive for the EET...but the console still says no such variable exists and I cannot find any such variable in the savegame file via EE Keeper either. Does anyone have any idea how to make this work? Edit : I finished the adoy quest, but still couldnt get any of the romance talks to trigger. I then tried changing my character's gender to male and I was able to get it to trigger. Either the Neera in my savegame is not using the updated script in my override folder or theres another script that I have to edit. Any ideas?
  22. Im talking about not making stuff like fireball affect everyone. I find the AOE damage spells largely useless...sunfire is a great example of this. Why would I want to nuke my own party...when i can cast stuff like chaos that only affects enemies? The fact that AOE disables only affect enemies just make them flat out superior for dealing with groups of enemies. Using wish isnt nearly the same thing as getting bonus spells based on INT.

Do anything like the following ; -Give mages/paladins/rangers/shamans bonus spell slots based on int/wisdom -Allow paladins/rangers to cast spells using their full character level (so a level 9 paladin would have a caster level of 9, instead of 1) -Let bards attack while bard song is active and/or make bard song more effective than just replicating the effects of the level 1 resist fear spell -Let bards cast spells in armour -Increase the mouse scroll speed past the max (still feels too slow even at max for me) -Remove friendly fire damage from spells -Allow some kind of fighter/sorcerer combination...possibly by making a mage kit that functions exactly like a sorcerer so you can do a fighter/mage with the sorcerer kit? I know EE keeper lets you do multi classes with kits but that probably only works with vanilla kits.
