  1. Given some do have walkthroughs, but are somewhat outdated. Things like Darkside, Northern Tales, Drizzt Saga, etc. I was wondering anyone have these walkthroughs or even a personal walkthrough you have made. I think it would help a lot of players out since I think it is easy to miss certain content that a mod provides. Or We could compile walkthroughs into one big Walkthrough Guide like how Big World Project compiled all the mod installation information into a PDF. This could take a few months of updates if a group wanted to do this kind of project. Another benefit would be having known bugs and glitches listed that have yet to be fixed and the walkthrough can provide a way around it, so the player does not have to backtrack on a earlier save.
  2. One of the last old big mods is finally revived and fixed up, I can't wait to play it later!
  3. I know this topic has long since been discussed, but I have a proposal on how to deal with IWD in EET in some ways to introduce new storylines: 1) A follow-up on when IWD & IWD2 ended since "Spoiler". This would be a great way to see on what happened to certain characters & locations. I believe one particular location in IWD2 was completely destroyed however storywise. 2) Adventurers sponsored by the Zhents break into the Great Worm Cavern and slay Elrem the Wise, shaman leader of the Great Worm tribe of the Uthgardt. Great Worm cavern, the traditional ancestor mound of the Great Worm tribe, was said to reside at the base of a mountain in the Spine of the World range, part of a vast underground complex. Given great reference by the tribes through the lineage of Uthgar's still living son, Elrem the Wise. Little is known of the inside of the caves but stories abound of a large altar depicting stylised represntations of a great spiralling winged snake. The adventurer Athelyare spoke tales that the caves connection with other parts of the Underdark such as lost Gauntlgrym. This particular event happened during the same year as the Iron Crisis, it didn't particularly say what month/day it happened on. I believe this could be one reason for the Adventurers to travel to Icewind Dale and help protect Elrem (though ultimately fail in the end). Alternatively, maybe have both the follow-up events and Elrem connected that lead into a foreshadowing of what is to come that goes into "Spoiler". What one can do is make use of the Ice Caverns in Heart of Winter, and use it's graphical assets to create a whole new area "The Great Worm Cavern" exclusively for IWD in EET. Conclusion: Basically Gorion's Ward and his friends will come close to figuring out that there is something else going on besides the Iron Crisis, but ends up being a dead end for now due to your failure to protect Elrem from the evil group of adventurers. That is all I can think of to be honest.
  4. Usually in various modding communities that sometimes there will be contests in attempt to introduce original content, but do you all believe there is enough interest in something like this for Baldur's Gate? Surprisingly even old communities like Morrowind still try to make new stuff. New Creatures, new portraits, new areas ( and maybe to help replace recycled maps by Mod Author Request for certain mods), etc.
  5. Interesting! I didn't know that! Yeah that was a few of the quests I believe. Sounds to me everything has been pretty much mined out of BG1 unless there is still obscure things to find one day. I wish I can remember what the topic was, and it was rather old. He had a list of a lot of events that have long been implemented barring a few I never saw listed in UB. Still interesting to this day what old computer games can hide when you dig deep enough.
  6. I don't think it is ever said much, but I want to thank you, Roxanne, and K4thos for fixing up all these old mods. I've been holding off playing BG until certain mods became more available and updated, Northern Tales was one of the few I wanted to try out to it's fullest. By the way since you all have more experience on this, but do these particular mods conflict or has it been long resolved with their EET updates? Darkside & Northern Tales paired up with Drizzt Saga & Dark Horizons. Reason I bring this up is because a long time ago, I was in one of the Dark Horizons Dungeons and apparently some "off-screen" named character was suddenly killed (the name looked familiar), I could never figure out which one of these mods caused the issue.
  7. I believe there was a list floating around somewhere, but I've wondered if the specific Modding Teams ever implemented them all?
  8. My rule of thumb is to always avoid mods that change the gameplay radically as I noticed those types of mods can cause trouble, and only add megamods if they work well with each other (don't go overboard). I can't say for sure if that might be your issue.
  9. If it's a simple modding matter, I don't see the problem by just adding it in somewhere. The only thing to make sure of is that all the characters don't lose their inventory. I would prefer it become available that is detached from the Sandrah Mod since Roxanne already has it laid out, and I'm sure others will like that as well. Also there will be probably need to be some editing as I believe you meet the guy AFTER he lost all of his power right? So what needs to be done that he is locked as a available character to meet in Chapter 1 until you cleared the Black Pits. His dialogue will probably to have to be slightly altered when you meet him again. Or another way is simply meeting him the normal way, but slightly altering his dialogue that he owns the Black Pits (which has not failed yet), but after the black pit events is up to the Modder. Multiple ways to tackle this really.
  10. My understanding this was already incorporated into EET via by teleport? Does this also apply for Black Pits 2?
  11. There was a time limit for Imeon in Chapter 2? I didn't know this. How long does this last?
  12. Now is a good time to ask since much time has passed, what can be said about how stable EET is at this point? It seems there has been less and less reports of bad bugs except for lesser ones. Also was the separate patches for Ascension ever been integrated into EET? I thought it was odd someone on BG Forums not too long ago didn't have the patches installed.
  13. Noticed on the Github that Almateria's Restoration is now under expert, what happen with that mod?
  14. I noticed today with the current BWS (as of today) that a lot of the mods were turned off in various selections from Recommendations, Maximized, and tactical. Was there a potential problem found just recently? Also for some reason there seems to be some kind of Conflict Error with Divine Remix even though the user didn't make any changes with the selection when the Selection is initially built up.
  15. Is there any word how many of these area icons need to be moved around a bit? My understanding that Innershade was overlapping another area that was added by EE. I think we need to figure out how many of these mods that add area icons need to be looked at. Also I remember having the same issue with Ulgoth's Beard & Durlag's tower area map placement way back in the old BGT days, but will there be a fix for that soon?
  16. Is this story going to be the same as the original IWD or does this take place after the events of IWD?
