  1. I see you named 0x2c of the eff v1 structure as 'special' only in the itm fileformat. This field works all the same way in all eff v1 structures (spl, cre) and even eff v2 has the field. This became a very important field in the EE, because it can be used as a third (dword) parameter in eff v1 effects, so a lot of things can be done without external effects. The old engine used it only in a handful of effects and even then it was mostly internal use (there are probably only 2 effects where a modder would ever have access to it). But in the EE, there will be many more such opcodes.
  2. Hey there my BGEE is crashing after installing BGII Tweak Pack. This is literally my only mod. It keeps on saying that I have too many tables. These notices appear yet the game keeps on running. Then a bit later the game crashes completely and I get these attachments (one from character creation; other from opened save game) to my crash folder that are too big to show here. Help plz can't play at all!
  3. I haven't seen this posted somewhere already, so I want to share a more complete list of override folders and their priorities for both BG:EE and BG2:EE. It looks like BG:EE and BG2:EE support a couple of new tokens: <BLACK_PITS> unknown? <PRO_CLASS> Returns the main character's class (e.g. 'beast master' or 'fighter/mage/thief'). <PRO_MASTERMISTRESS> Returns 'master' or 'mistress' depending on the the main character's gender. The tokens CLASS and MASTERMISTRESS exist only for the main character. BLACK_PITS didn't return anything in my tests. It might be that it is used internally or only works under certain conditions.
  5. Yo dudes, How do I modify BGEE.SQL with WeiDu? I need a step by step example - I have noticed that my last version of the Super Ultimate Portrait Pack causes a significant amount of issues with updated versions of BGEE.SQL I would prefer to be able to edit my downloads and fix this within the next 72 hours as I was recalled by the Army and have to go back to the middle east all of next year. The optimal way to do this is to edit BGEE.SQL with a WeiDu mod . . . issue is that I am not sure how to do this a cursory look at forums and WeiDu documentation doesn't really show me how to do this (I've made custom NPC's and other things before so I have a small amount of WeiDu knowledge and can write programs in Java and VBA) My guess is that I need to use the "WRITE_ASCII" command on the BGEE.SQL file (I see that ADD_JOURNAL does edit BGEE.SQL to some degree) but all I have seen about BGEE.SQL documentation is from Cam in this thread at G3: http://forums.gibberlings3.net/index.php?showtopic=25609 Essentially I just need to insert about 546 lines into the BGEE.SQL for both BGEE and BG2EE from one install file - then copy over the portraits in the override folder - pretty sure I can do that on my own though. I was looking through items with Near infinity and I noticed that there were a few weapon appearances applied to items that aren't available in the generic list of what's available as such GS - a Wizard staff F2 - Short fire sword ZW - Wings -.^ I was wondering where i could find a complete list of each of these Weapon appearances available ? or just the files location ?   10. I have just reinstalled BGEE after new updates on my new computer, went through the how to install mods thread (made backup of chitin, and linked folder through command). I downloaded BG Tweak Pack and installed into my 00766 folder. Running the installer for it and applying changes constantly gives me an error (it didn't before on my old comp). Says: ERROR: COPY ~sw1h01.itm~ ~override/cdt00060.g3~ FAILED: cannot open target Stopping installation because of error.
