  1. Hello, I recently got BG II:EE and imported my old original save files. Now I wasn't really aware of what I was doing, but I had to reinstall all my old mods and as I didn't know which files do what, I only exchanged the KILOVE file I found with my old one, as I assumed this one tracks how far you are with the romance (my save game is from Chapter Six). Now Kivan does have romantic dialogue triggering and has his old inventory items and all, but I couldn't hear his voice. And then he suddenly started saying weird uncharacteristic stuff...And then started talking in this primitive creepy Gollum voice. When I googled his lines I found out he is using the voice of an imp called Cespenar, that I haven't even met yet, because I haven't reached Throne of Bhaal. Does anyone have an idea why his soundfiles and dialogue are exchanged for Cespenar's? It is really creeping the hell out of me when he talks like that. It sounds as though he has been posessed by a demonic child. I recently read that there has been a bug going on in EE, where using game-foreign soundfiles causes dialogue glitching, making characters sound completely bonkers. Has anyone experienced this? Thanks in advance Cori
  2. Hey, so I have been doing a play through with Calin and have come across a rather interesting (but annoying) issue. As soon as Chapter 4 in BG 2 EE starts, the glitch kicks and Calin is constantly trying to enter dialogue mode. Sometimes it fires and you get the dialogue options like you started talking to him, but mostly it just freezes Calin in place. You can't initiate a save because you cannot save while in dialogue mode. I have currently installed parts of NPC Flirts, Romantic Encounters, as well as Skip Chateau Irenicus. I used a modmerger, if that matters. I attempted a re-install of everything, reused the modmerger and I went back to an earlier save and played through again to Chapter 4 and experienced the same issue. Does anyone one know how I can fix this? I'm still relatively new to mods. Not sure what you need, so this is my WeiDU... // Log of Currently Installed WeiDU Mods // The top of the file is the 'oldest' mod // ~TP2_File~ #language_number #component_number // [Subcomponent Name -> ] Component Name [ : Version] ~CALIN/CALIN.TP2~ #0 #102 // Select Calin's dialogue timer: (default is one hour; please note that only timered talks are affected by this) -> 15 minutes real time minimum between dialogues: v1.3 ~RE/SETUP-RE.TP2~ #0 #0 // Aerie, Anomen, Jaheira and Viconia React to Romantic Encounters: v12 ~RE/SETUP-RE.TP2~ #0 #4 // An Evening with Aran, by Kulyok: v12 ~RE/SETUP-RE.TP2~ #0 #5 // Bjornin's Desire, by jastey (adult content): v12 ~RE/SETUP-RE.TP2~ #0 #8 // The Gambling Cambion, by Kulyok: v12 ~RE/SETUP-RE.TP2~ #0 #9 // Chanelle's Gifts, by cmorgan (adult content): v12 ~RE/SETUP-RE.TP2~ #0 #11 // Cyric's Test, by Kulyok: v12 ~RE/SETUP-RE.TP2~ #0 #12 // A Tryst with a Pirate Lord, by Kulyok (Desharik, adult content): v12 ~RE/SETUP-RE.TP2~ #0 #17 // Firkraag's Unsheathed Sword: v12 ~RE/SETUP-RE.TP2~ #0 #19 // A Walk with Garren Windspear, by Kulyok: v12 ~RE/SETUP-RE.TP2~ #0 #21 // Hendak's Heart, by jastey: v12 ~RE/SETUP-RE.TP2~ #0 #23 // Jarlaxle's Fascinations, by Catseye: v12 ~RE/SETUP-RE.TP2~ #0 #25 // Laran's Promise, by berelinde (adult content): v12 ~RE/SETUP-RE.TP2~ #0 #31 // Renal Bloodscalp: A Dangerous Affair, by cmorgan (adult content): v12 ~RE/SETUP-RE.TP2~ #0 #32 // Old Ribald's Speciality, by Evaine Dian: v12 ~RE/SETUP-RE.TP2~ #0 #33 // Sir Ryan Trawl, by Kulyok: v12 ~RE/SETUP-RE.TP2~ #0 #34 // Saemon, a Pirate, by Kulyok (adult content): v12 ~RE/SETUP-RE.TP2~ #0 #38 // Phaere's Reward, by berelinde (Talak, pleasure slave, adult content): v12 ~RE/SETUP-RE.TP2~ #0 #48 // Bravery or Folly? by Aeryn (Sarevok, adult content): v12 ~RE/SETUP-RE.TP2~ #0 #49 // Blame the Moon, by Aeryn (Cernd): v12 ~RE/SETUP-RE.TP2~ #0 #54 // Date Night, by SisterVigilante: v12 ~SETUP-NPCFLIRT.TP2~ #0 #12 // Anomen Flirt Pack for SOA: v1.03 ~SETUP-NPCFLIRT.TP2~ #0 #13 // Anomen/Solaufein Romance Conflict For SOA (Solaufein V60 or greater recommended): v1.03 ~SETUP-NPCFLIRT.TP2~ #0 #14 // Anomen Flirt Pack for TOB: v1.03 ~SETUP-NPCFLIRT.TP2~ #0 #15 // Anomen/Solaufein Romance Conflict For TOB (Solaufein V60 or greater recommended): v1.03 ~SKIPCHATEAUIRENICUS/SETUP-SKIPCHATEAUIRENICUS.TP2~ #0 #0 // Skip Chateau Irenicus: 2.3 ~SKIPCHATEAUIRENICUS/SETUP-SKIPCHATEAUIRENICUS.TP2~ #0 #102 // Deal with skipped NPCs -> All available NPCs: 2.3 ~CALIN/CALIN.TP2~ #0 #0 // Calin for BG2: v1.3
  3. Hello I am writing in the name of my friend who have problems with this mod on installation level. At some point it doesn't successfully install components which ends up with characters gibberish in numbers, and even ruining sound drivers. Without the mod, game itself runs fine. I suspect the problems lies in pc itself since i used same mod version 23.3 with bg and it runs without any problems. But I am not sure as i don't have knowledge in IT, and I want to get what could be the problem, how to fix it, or at least wheres should I look to find whats wrong. More detailed: the installation crashes at part where Tiax is suppose to show up, and time between the characters banters.
  4. The installation program gives me a load of error message related to the unsuccessful parsing of some files in stratagems_external/workspace\ssl_out\. Examples include: [tb#_compile_eval_buffer/stratagems_external/workspace\ssl_out\dw2ms3ba.baf] PARSE ERROR at line 2044 column 1-41 Near Text: ) [CheckStatGT] argument [ENCHANTMENT_IMMUNITY] not found in [stats.IDS] [tb#_compile_eval_buffer/stratagems_external/workspace\ssl_out\dw#1tmg5.baf] PARSE ERROR at line 16999 column 1-96 Near Text: ) [CheckStatGT] argument [DW_ITEM_MM] not found in [stats.IDS] which all point to some missing items within stats.ids, and in which I actually cannot find any item such as dw_item_mm or chantment_immunity I am not sure whether it is because that I run vanilla BGT instead of EE or EET, so the program skips some files during installation-- i have no error messages when i install SCS on bgee. Or that it is an error specific to my system or my copy of bgt, or that I have not installed some pre-requisite elements. I am running vanilla BGT with but BG2 fixpack installed. I set my non-unicode language code to japanese but i doubt that matters because those items referenced in files that have parsing errors are not to be found in stats.ids in the first place. i cannot find out what enchantment_immunity or dw_item_mm mean on the net and i just want to be reassured that they wont cause problems for me. // I have also encounter a really weird glitch during my playthrough, but i am not sure whether its caused by scs, or tweak anthology components that i installed after scs, or conflicts with bg2fixpack or that it is inherent in bgt. Kagain in my party, when we are at fisherman's lake where drizzt is about, would spout whole lines from the quest completion journal entry of that quest where you go fetch a book for elvenhair....but when i reload my save he doesnt speak like that anymore.....and when i reload again (my main char died).. he again speaks....my journal entry.. after each time he speaks the party would gain and lose an item, which i cant verify what exactly it is since there are a load of loot we are carrying and also the item removed might also be that item we temporarily gained. It doesnt sound like problems caused by scs or tweak anthology since i didnt install anything that alters npc dialogues or npc location....but other than those two mods i have only fixpack and trilogy mod... // one more odd glitch that i am not sure whether its caused by scs, tweak anthology or inherent in trilogy with fixpack.... that injured hobgoblin in fisherman's lake, turns hostile as soon as he is spotted, and gives no dialogue to advance his quest. I could only find a forum thread related to this bug but its apparently for bgee instead of trilogy, so i suspect that bgee inherits this problem from adapting elements of fixpack and trilogy...but i can find no other mentions of this glitch in bgt and no fix either. SCS is the only one that changes AI behaviour so I have doubts that it could be related but i am not sure. .............here is my weidu.log............ // Log of Currently Installed WeiDU Mods // The 5. As the title states, the four weapon slots component installs without error but doesn't work. This is the Steam release of IWD:EE, v2.5.17.0. edit: The component installs without error, but none of my non-fighter characters have additional weapon slots in their inventory page. My mage has 2, etc. Not in the action bar, but in the inventory page. WeiDU.log attached, and the relevant section of the debug file is: Install Component [Give Every Class/Kit Four Weapon Slots]? nstall, or [N]ot Install or [Q]uit? 6. I've installed the Anthology and after a while, I realized that some items as well as most of the proficiency does not display correct "text", instead, I am seeing quotes from various NPC. For exemple, the Mace proficiency is instead displayed as : " Heya it's me, Imoen!" in character pages. I've also tried using a save editor and again, the proficiency and items still have the strange quotes names in there. Has this happened to anyone? Can I chance that somehow? Thanks.
  7. I've got Sword Coast Stratagems installed with the "Treat mages' and priests' High-Level Abilities as innate abilities rather than memorisable spells" tweak. However, when a caster in my party reaches a level that a HLA can be selected, the HLA selection screen works as normal on the level-up screen, but in-game the abilities don't show up under the abilities tab. For Anomen, only the berserker ability is shown but not the Planetar chosen. For my Charname mage, the sequencers and Slayer ability show up, but not the Fallen Planetar I've chosen. Resting doesn't solve the problem. Is there a way using CLUA or EEKeeper to add the abilities to my casters? I'm looking for a fix to continue this playthrough with my chosen HLA's. See WeiDu for the mods I've installed. Thanks in advance for any help. WeiDU.log
  8. By weird, I mean the talks that are supposed to happen in the wilderness (like Sarah talking how she loves forests, and looking at the sky) happening inside a building in the city. While I don't know much about how BG2 mods work, I suspect the "Rest anywhere" mod might be responsible, if it changed all inside areas to be considered wildnerness (so the game would let me rest there). If that's why it happens, it's sort of not really your responsibility, but if you'd like to work on it anyway, I think I have an idea, how to do it: All areas in the game have their respective codes, like "ARxxxx" or so, right? So, would it be possible to list the specific area codes in the mod's code, for where (and only there) the talks would happen? Example of what I mean, with made up area codes since I don't know them, and mock code, since I don't know how to make mods for BG2, either: If (CurrentArea = "AR0001" or "AR0002" or "AR0354") then (Start "SarahTalk015"); (I hope it makes sense to you.) Oh, and the game version I'm playing is BG2EE from GOG.com, with "2.3.67.3 (A)" patch (that's how it's listed in GOG Galaxy). Attaching the Sarah's DEBUG file and WEIDU log, too. 9. Hello First i must thank, you are keeping occupied with these ancient games and related tools I used 7,4b and it was doing good, then i found new version 7,7 it has improved, can search more things, i want use it now, but it also has a deterioration. Can't widen the window, it somehow locked.
  10. Gavin got the 'missing persons in Beregost' quest from the Morninglord in the Beregost Temple. I am given directions to where the persons went missing from Penny, yet the door to the house I need to be is locked. I didn't have a thief at that time in my party, so I recruited Tiax, got his Open Locks up to 101 with buffs, yet still I failed to pick the door. I went to an old BG Tutu game where I solved this quest, to check if it was the proper house I tried and how I solved it back then. I found out in Tutu, running Gavin v7, I didn't need to pick the lock at all, the door could just be opened, it was unlocked. Now, running BGEE v2.3.67.3 and Gavin v11, I'm stuck with an unpickable lock and the quest remaining incompletable. Can anyone tell me what's going wrong and how I can proceed the quest? Thanks in advance to anyone able to help, I attach the WeiDu log of this installation just in case. WeiDU.log
  11. Hi folks After installing some mods and of course EET I have one big issue with Yoshimo. After speaking with Valen and little kid from Gaelan (after obtaining 15k gold) Yoshimo wants to speak with me. But then my game freezes and I need to close it. Here's a list of mods from my Weidu log. I can translate mod components from Polish to English if it helps. Not sure if it's Yoshimo friendship or tweak - dreams are not popping up after each chapter (I think I need to wait some time like in BG1 campaign).
  12. This was reported in the "Map Areas" thread as well, wanted to make sure it got attention and visibility. Durlag's Tower is 3 maps east of Beregost, rather than east of the Carnival which the map ui would lead you to believe. It is hilariously nonsensical when you actually look at it, as the third area east of beregost is far north and east of durlags tower, yet going east once more enables Durlag to become reachable. Basically, it would be near impossible to figure it out on your own if you didn't look at this forum (well, you'd probably eventually indirectly figure it out). Great work overall though, this mod is insanely awesome regardless of the few hiccups!
  13. I am trying to do the quest given by Norochj where you must enter the Mausoleum. In the Infinity Engine, the portal automatically appears when you approach the entrance. This does not seem to happen in GemRB 0.8.4. Does anyone know why this is the case?
  14. Hi there, I'm using the last version of the game (1.023) and also the last version of the romance pack for nwn2 (v4). I played everything with no bug until now : The LT8 lines (Veedle speach) didn't came. Also i'm actually finished with the strongold for now and have to go to the ruins but a cutscene happen (i don't know whose) and stuck me on my actual map my main character cannot move afterwards. I try to get in other location BEFORE trying ruins and it works, but getting from said other location to ruins and the cutscene happen again, stucking me again too. If i try after that to use one of my companions to get me into the map it work. If i get out after coming it work. If i try to re-enter the ruins after leaving the cutscene happen again. I don't understand what's going on. Plz help me, thx in advance. PS : i'm french so plz bear with me if i do mistakes in english writing.
  15. Hey, I have a little "problem." After installing some of the gibberlings features within the Enhanced Edition of Baldur's Gate II I figured that the new character screen that came with the 2.0 version ha been reset to the old one. Also the item comparison (in the inventory tab) has been removed. I dont really care about the new character sheet, but I did like the item comparison, because it saved a lot of time (not having to compare everything by hand). Is this a problem other people experience or am I the only individual? Does someone even have a fix for me or knows the reason for this encounter? Thank you in advance, Bealmador
  16. Greetings, I'm playing BG:EE on Steam and use Gavin mod. Until now eveything was fine, but yesterday they was an update of the game for the release of Siege of DragonSpear, and now Gavin has no portrait, he's called "invalid 34053" and all he says is "invalid", well you get the idea. Anyone with this problem ? Anyone with an idea ? (Ps: I'm using game with text in french and french translation of Gavin.)
  17. Hello, I have weird problem as topic says while facing Vampire (tombs in Graveyard District), as soon as bring him to near to death statement the game crashes. Note: I'm using BG II: EE and newest version of scs in which I installed 'upgraded vampiers'. Any idea how to fix it? If not, is it possible to reinstall the game with scs but without upgraded vampires and not losing progess? Thanks in advance PS: I'm using windows 7
  18. I apologize in advance, because I am not 100% sure that it is SCS causing this, or just wrong mod installation, however SCS is the biggest mod I have installed. Basically, every once in a while, enemies will blurt out strange dialogue lines, indicating that the dialogue file got messed up. The only mods I haven't used before are BG2 fixpack and RR (I have only the Chosen encounter installed). I have used Ascension, Valen, Solaufein and Tactics together with older versions of SCS with no problems before. I'm a bit at loss as to what could be causing this bug. This is an example from the improved illyich encounter (listed as compatible with SCS), but the same bug appeared with Dace in Asylum after he was killed, though his dialogue line was different: I'm playing on a completely fresh BG2 installation (GOG version), no mods have been uninstalled and the widescreen mod has been re-installed once to change the resolution: // Log of Currently Installed WeiDU Mods // The top of the file is the 'oldest' mod // ~TP2_File~ #language_number #component_number // [subcomponent Name -> ] Component Name [ : Version] ~DDRAWFIX/DDRAWFIX.TP2~ #0 #0 // DDrawFix -> Force DirectDraw Emulation: v1.0 ~SETUP-ASCENSION.TP2~ #0 #0 // Ascension v1.41 (requires ToB) ~SETUP-ASCENSION.TP2~ #0 #1 // Tougher Abazigal (optional, requires ToB) ~SETUP-ASCENSION.TP2~ #0 #2 // Original Tougher Demogorgon (optional, requires ToB) ~SETUP-ASCENSION.TP2~ #0 #3 // Tougher Gromnir (optional, requires ToB) ~SETUP-ASCENSION.TP2~ #0 #4 // Tougher Illasera (optional, requires ToB) ~SETUP-ASCENSION.TP2~ #0 #5 // Tougher Yaga-Shura (optional, requires ToB) ~BG2FIXPACK/SETUP-BG2FIXPACK.TP2~ #0 #0 // BG2 Fixpack - Core Fixes: v10 ~BG2FIXPACK/SETUP-BG2FIXPACK.TP2~ #0 #1001 // BG2 Fixpack - Game Text Update -> GTU Classic (from Baldurdash, by Kevin Dorner): v10 ~SETUP-VALEN.TP2~ #0 #0 // Valen ~SETUP-SOLAUFEIN.TP2~ #0 #0 // Solaufein Romance for Baldur's Gate II (SoA & ToB) ~SETUP-TACTICS.TP2~ #0 #0 // Improved Ilyich (requires ToB) ~SETUP-TACTICS.TP2~ #0 #1 // The Ritual (requires ToB) ~SETUP-TACTICS.TP2~ #0 #8 // "Kuroisan", the Acid Kensai ~SETUP-TACTICS.TP2~ #0 #9 // "Red Badge" Poison-Based Encounter ~SETUP-TACTICS.TP2~ #0 #11 // Gebhard Blucher's Lich in the Docks ~SETUP-TACTICS.TP2~ #0 #14 // Kensai Ryu's Gnome Fighter/Illusionist in the Docks ~SETUP-TACTICS.TP2~ #0 #15 // Kensai Ryu's Improved Crypt King ~RR/SETUP-RR.TP2~ #0 #11 // Chosen of Cyric encounter: v4.80 ~STRATAGEMS/SETUP-STRATAGEMS.TP2~ #0 #1000 // Initialise mod (all other components require this): v30 ~STRATAGEMS/SETUP-STRATAGEMS.TP2~ #0 #4010 // Grant large, flying, non-solid or similar creatures protection from Web and Entangle: v30 ~STRATAGEMS/SETUP-STRATAGEMS.TP2~ #0 #4030 // Improved shapeshifting: v30 ~STRATAGEMS/SETUP-STRATAGEMS.TP2~ #0 #8090 // Party's items are taken from them in Spellhold: v30 ~STRATAGEMS/SETUP-STRATAGEMS.TP2~ #0 #5900 // Initialise AI components (required for all tactical and AI components): v30 ~STRATAGEMS/SETUP-STRATAGEMS.TP2~ #0 #6000 // Smarter general AI: v30 ~STRATAGEMS/SETUP-STRATAGEMS.TP2~ #0 #6010 // Better calls for help: v30 ~STRATAGEMS/SETUP-STRATAGEMS.TP2~ #0 #6024 // Add high-level abilities (HLAs) to spellcasters -> All eligible spellcasters in Throne of Bhaal and Shadows of Amn get HLAs (very challenging and not really recommended!): v30 ~STRATAGEMS/SETUP-STRATAGEMS.TP2~ #0 #6030 // Smarter Mages -> Mages cast some short-duration spells instantly at start of combat, to simulate pre-battle casting: v30 ~STRATAGEMS/SETUP-STRATAGEMS.TP2~ #0 #6040 // Smarter Priests -> Priests cast some short-duration spells instantly at start of combat, to simulate pre-battle casting: v30 ~STRATAGEMS/SETUP-STRATAGEMS.TP2~ #0 #6104 // Potions for NPCs -> All of the potions dropped by slain enemies break and are lost: v30 ~STRATAGEMS/SETUP-STRATAGEMS.TP2~ #0 #6200 // Improved Spiders: v30 ~STRATAGEMS/SETUP-STRATAGEMS.TP2~ #0 #6500 // Improved golems: v30 ~STRATAGEMS/SETUP-STRATAGEMS.TP2~ #0 #6510 // Improved fiends -> Fiends have about 50 percent more hit points than normal: v30 ~STRATAGEMS/SETUP-STRATAGEMS.TP2~ #0 #6520 // Smarter genies -> Genies have about 50 percent more hit points than normal: v30 ~STRATAGEMS/SETUP-STRATAGEMS.TP2~ #0 #6530 // Smarter celestials -> Celestials have about 50 percent more hit points than normal: v30 ~STRATAGEMS/SETUP-STRATAGEMS.TP2~ #0 #6540 // Smarter dragons -> Dragons have a substantial hit point increase: v30 ~STRATAGEMS/SETUP-STRATAGEMS.TP2~ #0 #6550 // Smarter beholders -> Give beholder rays some chance to "burn through" spell protections; 19. I recent installed mods for my Baldur's Gate Enchaned Edition, which i bought on Steam. I never had any real issues getting mods to work before with Baldur's Gate, but after getting a new PC, i have started having problems. The best example i can give is that i recently installed the BG Tweaks, aswell as the Romantic Encounters mod for Baldur's Gate 1. and when i speak to the NPCs and look at the items added through the mods, i only get a text saying "Invalid" and then a long number. Any help resolving this issue would be of utmost appreciation. Thelegaard
  20. Hello, It's been reported here. And with a little more details here. bg2 tweak pack v16, BG2EE 1.3 on Windows. I tried uninstalling "short cutscenes", but installer did not give me an option to uninstall (probably because other mods were installed after this one?), so I chose to install non-silly version (was original) - same bug, then uninstalled this component - same bug. Is there a workaround or a fix available?
  21. I installed the widescreen mod and this GUI mod for Baldur's Gate: The Original Saga (GOG.com version). They work just fine for the most part. One problem I'm having is that as I move my cursor along the top edge of the screen, it changes to a diagonal cursor about half way and starts scrolling northeast. The same thing happens with the bottom edge, except it starts scrolling southeast. About half way down the left and right edges, it scrolls southwest and southeast respectively. I searched extensively and the only reference I could find that was similar to this issue was here. He was also using a GUI mod for Planescape, but I suspect this issue is related to the widescreen mod and not the GUI mod. This definitely isn't a gamebreaker but it is pretty annoying. Any help?
  22. I just finished the YuanTi quest, and last thing on the way out, recovered Erevain Blacksheaf's journal and broadsword. Everything is fine, until i go back to the Inn in Kuldahar; immediately when I enter, Elyvir asks if I want her to join; if I say yes, it goes into the "Oh my, Erevain is dead" dialogue. Clicking CONTINUE three times leads to a pseudo-cutscene (screen gets dark); I guess we are supposed to be burying her brother. At this point, it all starts over again. I can't click or hit anything except CONTINUE, and just loops and loops. Any ideas?
  23. The component that allows you to switch bastard swords, katanas, and axes to 2 handed weapons has a bug with the iron shortage in both BG:EE and BGTutu. When a normal weapon is switched to two handed mode and used when a weapon break occurs it gives you the relevant broken item in your inventory but it doesn't remove your 2 handed bastard sword, katana, or axe, so you can keep using it. I tested all 3 types and it is the same behavior. It however does work in it's original 1 handed variety.

  25. So, I have an installation of BGT and when I start a new game I can only get a character as far as Lion's Way (that first area east of Candlekeep, where Gorion dies). After that, when I try to shift areas, the only map screen that I can reach is for BG2, just over Athkatla, with no reachable areas. - this behaviour is consistent over two New Games; - when I use MoveToArea, I can get the party to a new area, but trying to shift areas naturally runs into the same bug; - opening up a Save from before this install (a save starting in Candlekeep) does not run into this bug; - I can't see any obvious difference between Globals for the new Save that doesn't work and the old Save that does - Chapter = 2, something called BGTNPC6600 = 1; there are no variables like "EndofBG1" present in the save games; - The WeiDU Log is: Does anyone have any thoughts on what went wrong so I can fix it or reinstall properly or something? Alternatively, pointers on how to graft a new character into the old, working save would be an acceptable workaround for me. Thank you in advance, Thimblerig
