Mods Worked On

  1. Hi, I was wondering how it would be possible to allow the AI spellcasters to cast wish to restore/breach/time stop? I had looked at Szass Tam script as I noticed that during the fight he will eventually use it. He either uses it at the beginning to go straight into Time Stop or will use it later on. Once the fight ends and you continue to fight him after dialogue, he will use Wish again to restore his spells and combat resumes like it never happened. Is there a way to put the spell within a pre-existing script which would allow the spellcaster to use it once most of their spells have been used up or even to allow them to use the other two effects? I have attached part of Szass Tam's script where it mentions the use of Wish and also the .DLG script which happens once dialogue ends. Szass Tam script.txt
  2. Greetings everyone, it's that time of the year again. I've been sitting in front of my laptop planning a new EET run (this will be my second), and I would like to ask anyone who will be kind enough to read through my list (it's a rather extensive one) and provide any kind of tip that may come to mind, either regarding install order or content. I took my old 2019 EET list and heavily updated it, based on my previous experience and following the efforts of fellow players @Cahir, @Caedwyr and @4udr4n (thank you guys for writing down everything!); the plan is to paste everything into Project Infiinity, and let it roll. EDIT: I'm using all the latest releases that I could find (including SCS v. 34.3, which as of now 28th january 2022 has been reported to have a few issues) on the latest patch dowloaded from GOG ( The list, available below, is more or less where I want it to be; I could spend a few more months waiting for more updates, fine tuning stuff, adding/removing more stuff, but I want to play the game, dangit . I'll be using this thread to post a few bug reports or problems I'll encounter while playing, since that might be useful for other fellow players, and maybe add a few thoughts on mods as I experience them, though I'm not really a 'review' guy. WARNING - in the state it's presented in this post, the install list has probably too many item mods. There is at least one confirmed case of an npc not dropping a quest item, simply because too many items were added to its inventory. I can say that now after playing for a bit, and it's likely the same issue will be true for other npcs. It's not gamebreaking, any quest item can be added via console, but it can be annoying when not knowing exactly what and where to look for. Things that needed to be fixed/changed for my list before the install: More styles for mages - downloaded an updated tp2 file from the mod thread on beamdog to make it install correctly on an EET install. It basically adds 'eet' to ACTION_IF GAME_IS at the start of each component, no other change was made. klatu - fixed the tp2 file for the 'manual of war' component as described later in this thread. fixed a few empty files in the SCS folders as suggested in that mod bugthread. Tweaks and tricks - fixed a small entry in the mod tp2 file that caused the component 'NPC soundsets' to fail to install. Details here. Unofficial item pack - deleted a line in the mod's tp2 file that overwrites a file and thus makes it incompatible with 'the cowled menace'. This is what got deleted: Things to check after install: Make sure that g_traps1.bcs contains the code below, so that 'improved trap detection' from Tweaks and Tricks works properly. IF True() THEN RESPONSE #100 Wait(3) RemoveFamiliar() DestroySelf() END Edit B2#4906.sto to make all cures prices different from 0. This is Aerie's shop from the Aerie in BG1 mod. Almost all of the cure spells in that store do not work, because the price is set to 0, and this means the 'buy' button is greyed out, so there is no mechanical way to make the heal happen. I changed most of the values to 1 in NearInfinity. For future installs, made a backup of the modified .sto file to replace the one inside BG1 folder that gets imported by EET. Edit state trigger 4 of GV#TARA.dlg with this code to allow for Dave's quest to conclude: Global("GV#TARAIntro","GLOBAL",3) OR(2) Global("GV#DAVEHasIdol","GLOBAL",0) !PartyHasItem("MISC48") !PartyHasItem("C0AUIM04") My current install - all mods updated to the 22nd of February 2022: All the components listed above installed without any failures, and most of those, successfully; I did encounter a few warnings, most of which from Unearthed Arcana mods: Faiths and powers(a couple for each component), Might and Guile(a few for multiclass bards), Tome and Blood(one for revised invisibility), subtledoc's random tweaks(one for 'make sunray bypass magic resistance); all of those were 'no effects altered on file' kind of warnings and are generally to be expected when installing UA mods. There were also a few more warnings experienced when installing SCS, but there was no description for those, only the 'installed with warnings: exiting with code 3' message at the end of some components. UNSOLVED PROBLEMS ENCOUNTERED IN THIS PLAYTHROUGH The wand of fire fireball effect doesn't work. Animation plays, but no damage or other effect follows. This is probably a Weidu issue that happens during installation and corrupts the item; also the evasion component from Might and guile had something to do with it, but from that part it has already been fixed. I hope this very small bit of info I put together might be of help for any player for their personal run. Have fun!
  3. Someone has been working in the shadows, manipulating events on the Sword Coast to their advantage... Hey guys, I created this because I wanted to tie up loose ends with 2 things in Baldur's Gate: the Twisted Rune, and the Cowled Wizards, especially to provide an incentive to fight them to the end (and tying it all up with the Twisted Rune, which was probably cut content in BG2). So this mod was born about 3 years ago! It requires the Enhanced Edition Trilogy by k4thos as there is content to be found in BG1, BG2, and ToB (the quest cannot be completed before ToB) Project Page Download Readme github Basically I'm looking for testers and people willing to try out the mod and provide feedback! Be gentle with me, this is my first time making a mod and using github. However, I spent a lot of time learning how to code in a way that doesn't break other mods as much as possible. You can see for yourself in my code. Special thanks to lots of people here including Mike1072, demivrgvs, Roxanne, kreso, DavidW, CamDawg, Nythrun & Miloch (area patching), Avenger, and every other helpful fellow! Also, thanks to K4thos for making the EET Screenshots:

  6. The EE Mod Setup Tool (for windows) Overwiew EET installs get more complex now that more and diverse mods are available to enhance the basic game. K4thos, the EET author recommended BWS for save installs when he started the project. However, original BWS has lost the supporters it had in the past and slowly decayed. This tool is aiming to provide similar functionality to mod EE games in large scale. The BWS-EE is a fork from Big World Setup (BWS old) which was originally created by dabus. BWS-EE is streamlined to serve EE game installations in a way that is up-to-date and maintainable still. While the tool was mainly intended to support EET, it also can be used to mod other EE games as listed below. Features: - assistance for creating your own customized game with any number of mods - downloading current versions of selected mods - easy mod installation for EET - correct install order of mods/components - merges SoD DLC with BGEE if needed - handle mod and components conflicts and dependencies - apply interim fixes when needed. - use players' tested compilations - save your own compilations for re-use or sharing Supported games: - Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition (standalone game) - Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition (standalone game) - Enhanced Edition Trilogy EET( BG1:EE + SoD + BG2:EE ) - Planescape: Torment Enhanced Edition - Icewind Dale: Enhanced Edition Supported mods - All actively maintained or properly completed ones! 7. Version 0.9-alpha

This mod is a collection of class, skill, proficiency, and stat updates. This is an alpha release with the intention of adding more class, skill, and stat updates in the near future while further refining the new proficiencies that are being added. Yes, these are actual, functional, useable, proficiencies that can be assinged on the character creation and level up screens. Yes, eekeeper can recognize and adjust these proficiencies for characters. Yes, I am intimately familiar with the limited resources in the game, and no detectable spells were harmed in the making of this mod. Some components require EEex to work, and those are identified with (EEex Required). Project page Readme Forum
  8. Version v10.4

This mod is a collection of player AI scripts designed for use in Baldurs Gate: Enhanced Edition, Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition, the Enhanced Edition Trilogy, and Icewind Dale: Enhanced Edition. With these scripts, you can focus on the fighting aspect of combat while these take care of the nuances in the background. Of note, these scripts allow easy pre-buffing of all characters with a keystroke, intelligent debuffing of enemy protections, and smart use of defensive spells and abilities. 9. Version v13

Endless BG1 — a modification for BG:EE, BG:SoD, BGT, and EET! For the EE games, the main aim of this mod is to provide the possibility to remain in the BG1 "world" after Sarevok is defeated. Original progressing/ending of the game will be done by talking to Duke Belt inside the Palace. For EET, it also adds the possibility to move on to BGII by skipping SoD completely. This was included because it was easy to add, not because I think it should be skipped. (Also note that there might be mods that expect SoD events to have happened in BGII.) For BGT, the main component of the mod adds some praise for the PC to Duke Belt's dialogue and removes some oversights with regard to references to Sarevok after he died. There are several optional components that give more flavor to the situation and prepare for the SoD story events in all games. For most additional content I was inspired by how Baldur's Gate city looks in SoD. Three components are for SoD/EET only. Forum Project Page Readme (English) Readme (German)

    Beaurin Legacy

    Version v5.2.1

The Beaurin Legacy introduces an elven Enchanter/Thief and a hidden NPC to BGII:SoA & ToB and BGII:EE. Minyae Beaurin can be found outside of the Crooked Crane in the City Gates. The mod includes custom portraits, a friendship track for both Minyae and the Hidden NPC, numerous banters and interjections, encounters and quest(s), voicing for both NPCs (However, Minyae is fully voiced), a romance with a Bioware NPC, player-initiated dialogues, and custom friendship track themes. 11. Version v9.2

Jastey's Tweaks for SoD and EET (and BGT) This tweak pack is mainly meant for the SoD part of BG:EE (except for the last component which introduces Imoen's SoD portrait into BGII). It deals with some tweaks that I found useful for my own game. Project Page Forum at G3 Readme: English, German
  12. Version v14

This is a collection of kits and an item pack from Sorcerer's Place. The mods were originally in an older, harder-to-install format and have been converted to use a WeiDU installer. Item restrictions are also applied dynamically, meaning that the item restrictions for the Arcane Fist and Archer of Sylvanus kits will be implemented across all items in the game, including those added or altered by other mods. Polar Bear, Drizzt1180, and Creslyn wrote the original content. Learn more about the mod View the Readme Visit the Forum
  13. Hello Gals and Guys The time has come for me to make a final epic BG Saga Run. I've chosen an EET as a gaming platform and Project Infinity as an install tool and selected quite a substantial pack of mods for my instal (no megamods, though). Since I've been playing BG ages ago, I would ask you for help creating a correct sort order to upload for Project Infinity. Below is a list of mods (not ordered at all) I'm planning to use. 14. I got a doubt regarding a possibly annoying issue for this playthrough. Here's the thing: after killing Davaeorn, he didn't drop the key for the river plug that allows to flood the Cloakwood mines. Looking at DAVAEO.CRE in Nearinfinity, he indeed has the key (MISC83.ITM), but it's only listed in the 'edit' tab, while there is no trace of it if I click on the 'view' tab, and then 'items/spells'. I also noticed that that .CRE has a total of 26 items, 16 of which assigned to an inventory slot, and 6 more equipped. So I would like to ask: is there a limit to the inventory slots of any given NPC? And if so, is 16 that limit? And if that's the case, is it possible in a heavily modded game to add too many items to a creature, thus overwriting or simply 'pushing aside' already existing items? There's also the case of the edventar's gift(MAGE05.ITM): in my install DAVAEO.CRE has that item equipped in the right ring slot; however, that item wasn't dropped either. This makes me wander: how exactly the items to be dropped after defeating an enemy are set? I can see a couple of 'DW#RND**.ITM', which I guess drop some random scrolls, but one would think at least those items from the 'items/spells' tab should all be dropped. At the end of the day, I guess knowing the answers to those questions won't change a slightly sad fact: whenever I see a lot of dropped items from an enemy, I'll probably need to check that enemy's .CRE file to make sure I didn't miss any.
  15. Version v18.2

The Ajantis BG Expansion Modification is a mod for original ("vanilla") BG(+TotSC), Tutu, Baldur’s Gate Trilogy (BGT), Baldur's Gate Enhanced Edition (BG:EE), and Enhanced Edition Trilogy (EET). For original BG:TotSC, the mod adds a friendship track and the BG1NPC Project romance for Ajantis. The original BG1NPC Project romance was adjusted slightly with regard to the restrictions of the BG1 engine, although overall the content stayed the same. For Tutu, BGT, BG:EE, and EET, the mod adds a friendship track and more romance content for the BG1NPC Project romance for Ajantis. Content-wise, the mod is meant as an addition to the BG1NPC Project, but technically it can be installed and played without the BG1NPC Project. If the player started and interrupted Ajantis's BG1NPC Project romance, the friendship sequence should initiate after that depending on how far the romance went. If you do not have the BG1NPC Project installed, the friendship talks become available immediately. For BG:EE and EET there is a second, independent component with the option to use the existent BG:EE BAM for Ajantis' shield (green dragon on golden ground), if BG1NPC is installed. Grey the Dog

    Version v8

Grey the Dog NPC by jastey (writer, coder) and Rabain (mod idea, first kit, first portrait) Grey is a full-fledged joinable NPC, but still a real dog. The only magic on him is his enchanted collar that gives 1 AC bonus. He has sensible interjections (Woof!), NPC banters (mostly NPC dialogues about him with the PC), a click dialogue (PID) if the PC feels like playing fetch or just needs someone to talk to. There are dialogue options that reflect the game story and I'll promise: Grey will always listen to your PC's woes. Grey initiates no dialogues so there is no friendship track and - I am really sorry, but no romance. Grey comes with some items and more can be found throughout the game. He has his own kit: Wolfhound. In BG1 there are two small quests, both available in BG city. The quests are also available and solvable without Grey in party. Where appropriate, Grey can be told to "search" for missing persons, in BG1 Brage and farmer Brun's son, in SoD the five missing refugees. This is realized in a way it doesn't spoil the quests too much, though, so do not expect too much help. The mod is compatible with BGT, BG:EE, BG2, BGII:EE, and EET. 17. Version v10

A mod for BGII and SoD, compatible with all BGII games (BGII, BGT, BGII:EE, EET). This mod aims at making Imoen a steady companion throughout the whole BG-Saga. Imoen-related story content is being considered, therefore Imoen will be out of party temporarily to reflect the most crucial original game events. This mod makes her rejoin the party after such incidents, so that she can be seen as an actual travel companion in SoD and BGII. The mod tries to use as many originally voiced lines as possible, but some had to be taken out because they didn't make any sense without Imoen being there (BGII) or with Imoen catually being in the party (SoD). 18. Version v5

The Mod gives a choice of custom portraits for Ajantis. The Ajantis Portrait Pack is compatible with BG1, TotSC, BGT, Tutu, BG:EE, BGII:EE, and EET. It detects the game install automatically. For the BGII part of the game, the portrait is meant for the Sir Ajantis NPC for BGII mod, but can be installed independently. NOTE: For all games, the portraits have the same naming convention as the BG1 default portrait since with v15 and up, the Sir Ajantis for BGII mod uses the game portrait (which is also present in all BG2 games). This means, that if you installed an Ajantis portrait from another source the same portrait will be used as well in the BGII part of the game without need of further action. Many thanks to the artists for granting permission to include them as alternatives for Ajantis: Amaurea, Azguz aka Azze, berelinde, Casul, Catlepha, Miloch, Senka and wonnimchunha! Have a look at the portraits at the Portrait Gallery! Forum at G3 Readme: English, German German Discussion Thread at Kerzenburgforum
  19. Version v2.4

This mod requires EET, BGEE, SoD, or BG2EE. For BGEE and BG2EE, the Transitions mod allows for continued play after the boss enemy has been defeated. In EET, you'll have seamless transitions between campaigns and be allowed to skip ahead to BG2, bypassing all or the remainder of SoD, as suits the player. In addition to more quests being available, the Korlasz dungeon quest is treated as a normal dungeon crawl, and can be exited and re-entered with no tour-guide. You have the opportunity to have your own personal housing which contains a chest that follows you through to ToB if EET is installed. Learn more about the mod View the readme Visit the forum
  20. Version 1.13

The Framed mod provides 2 different versions of Chapter 6 and makes going to Candlekeep a possible side quest not involving the Iron Throne. If Candlekeep is visited before the Iron Throne Building is investigated, Eltan will have a different task for the group to be done in Chapter 6. To experience the new version, a work order will need to be obtained from Bentley (Friendly Arm Inn) or Scar (initial meeting only and only if PC admits to clearing the Nashkel mines) during Chapter 5. 23. Version 2.0.1

SoD to BG2EE Item Upgrade is a mod for BG2:EE that imports many more items from Siege of Dragonspear into the game, placing them into thoughtful location in Shadows of Amn. The mod also has an optional component to force importation of the SoD items that a player can normally import into BG2:EE at their normal locations. Lastly, the mod also gives upgrade recipes to Cromwell and Cespenar to upgrade most of the imported SoD items. Project Page Forum Readme
  24. Hello world. Here's a pack of hacky IWD2 portrait edits. The Owlbearers Portrait Pack The zip file contains 14 heroes to be used in either IWD2 or the Enhanced Editions. Here's a couple for a taste... I would really appreciate any comments, especially suggestions for improvement. Also, I'd love to know who you have to kill to get a file on the Portrait Packs section!?
  25. Hello. Hope, it's the right place to ask my question. I'm also sorry with my bad English. I have make a clean installation of EET few month ago and play a few hours (finish Durlag, island in the north, i was in Baldur's gate). When i launch the game, it was broken. I think it's the new version 2.6 who broke the game. So i try a new install with few mods (with the list here at Gibberlings). Installation goes fine, no reports during EET install. But when i launch EET with the icon on my desktop, it launch the Menu of BGII, i have the choice between "Shadows of Amn", "ToB" and "The Pit", when i choose "Shadows of Amn" it launch the first Baldurs Main Menu but when i choose "One player" and "New Game" the game go back to the first menu "Shadows of Amn"/ToB etc. and refuse to launch a new game. It's a know bug ? Thank's for your feedback.
