  1. The EE Mod Setup Tool (for windows) Overwiew EET installs get more complex now that more and diverse mods are available to enhance the basic game. K4thos, the EET author recommended BWS for save installs when he started the project. However, original BWS has lost the supporters it had in the past and slowly decayed. This tool is aiming to provide similar functionality to mod EE games in large scale. The BWS-EE is a fork from Big World Setup (BWS old) which was originally created by dabus. BWS-EE is streamlined to serve EE game installations in a way that is up-to-date and maintainable still. While the tool was mainly intended to support EET, it also can be used to mod other EE games as listed below. Features: - assistance for creating your own customized game with any number of mods - downloading current versions of selected mods - easy mod installation for EET - correct install order of mods/components - merges SoD DLC with BGEE if needed - handle mod and components conflicts and dependencies - apply interim fixes when needed. - use players' tested compilations - save your own compilations for re-use or sharing Supported games: - Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition (standalone game) - Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition (standalone game) - Enhanced Edition Trilogy EET( BG1:EE + SoD + BG2:EE ) - Planescape: Torment Enhanced Edition - Icewind Dale: Enhanced Edition Supported mods - All actively maintained or properly completed ones! 2. Hey all, I'm looking forward to being able to play this all the way through, but I'm having trouble installing EET. Installation stops because it cannot locate a cre file: ERROR: cannot locate EET/temp/patch/cre/BDBART01.cre Any help would be appreciated! Thanks SETUP-EET.DEBUG SETUP-EET_CORE.DEBUG
  3. Hey everyone, I am using the BG2 Tweaks (v16) with SoA and ToB. Since I only install a relatively small portion of the Tweaks (31 components), I was wondering if there is a way to automate the install? So something like a script where I can say like "install only #60, #110, #1170, ..." and so forth, without having to manually do it. By the way, the stuff is working really really good, a very big Thank You to all the authors!
  4. Hey guys! This is my first post on this account so let me say hello! I'm posting because I'm having some difficulties installing EET and was wondering if anyone else has run into the same issues as me. I looked to see if there was another post about this but couldn't find it but if there is one feel free to send it my way and close this one I've purchased all of the games from GOG (BG:EE, SoD, BG2:EE, IWD:EE, IWD2) and have played them all MANY times both modded and not (thank god for the Big World Setup haha) and recently my little cousin has taken a liking to D&D Games and i figured showing him these gems was a must. I'm not new to modding and have actually used the BGT mod before but when i heard about this mod being made for the Enhanced versions I had to check it out and give my cousin the FULL experience of one big game instead of dealing with importing etc. My Issue is this: Every time I install the mod (yes on a fresh copy, I've re-installed like 15 times lol and ive tried using both BGEE and SoD folders for the install) It gets to a certain point in the install and says it cant find a file to copy over. The first time it was a file that seemed to be a character file or something along those lines and a few times after that. The last time I tried installing it I used a fresh install of both BG2 and SoD and it made it to the spell.id file or something like that and couldnt find it. Ive been doing some research both here and on google and found a mod by K4thos called unzipSoD which unzips the stupid dlc file GOG distributed but now EET sees BGEE as modded and wont start. I know the mod is in beta still and maybe im jumping the gun trying to get this working (i usually do haha ) but any feedback would be awesome so i know for when it does work Thanks a bunch guys and happy gaming!
  5. I have EE versions of Baldur's Gate from steam and unix based OS. Is there a way to install any mods that use weidu? The linux installation instructions for most mods seem to expect you to run original Baldur's Gate using wine, even thought they say that they are EE compatible. The EE version seems break if you run tolower, which is the first instruction in prety much every installation guide. Is there guide or tutorial for how to use WeiDu on linux with EE? Can the tolower be avoided or fixed afterwards? Without tolower WeiDu gets: ERROR: Unable to find DIALOG.TLK in: ./^dialog\.tlk$ And with it, I can't play. There is dialog.tlk named files in lang/xx_YY folders and DIALOG.BIF in data folder. So is the error from location or naming of the files? So, renaming xx_YY to xx_yy (ex. en_US to en_us) got me bit forward. The next error is like this, but it does allow to continue. Couldn't open the readme: file not found. ERROR: No translation provided for @0 Continuing despite error.
  6. I'm getting the following error message, when installing the component "Banters, Quests, and Interjections" " ... [bG1NPG/Phase2/baf/P#FW2700.BAF] PARSE ERROR at line 34 column 1-35 Near Text: > [DisplayStringNoNameHead] not found in ACTION.IDS [bG1NPC/Phase2/baf/P#FW2700.BAF] ERROR at line 34 column 1-35 Near Text: > Parsing.Parse_error ERROR: parsing [bG1NPC/Phase2/baf/P#FW2700.BAF]: Parsing.Parse_error Stopping installation because of error. ERROR Installing [The BG1 NPC Project: Banters, Quests, and Interjections], rolling back to previous state Will uninstall 499 files for BG1NPC.TP2] component 1. Uninstalled 499 files for BG1NPC.TP2] component 1. ERROR: Parsing.Parse_error PLEASE email the file SETUP-BG1NPC.DEBUG to The BG1 NPC Project Team: forums.gibberlings3.net/index.php?showforum=45 Using Language [English] " Since getting this error I've discovered the optimal install order, and plan on doing a clean uninstall and reinstall in that order, which may help. I have installed Tutu and this mod on previous computers and not had this issue, though I have never used the newest form of easyTutu, so I may have messed something up there. Can anyone tell me what I've done wrong or what to do to fix this? Also, I tried to attach the debug file but apparently that isn't allowed, if having that would help, let me know where to submit it ^_^
  7. I recently downloaded a baldurs gate trinity img from rutraker and it works great on my pc. Is there a way to play it on my galaxy S2 because so far i've had no luck with gemrb running it. Please help.
  8. Hi everyone Got extremely excited when I found out you could play BG on the iPad. I've previously Jailbroken my iPad (iOS 5.0.1) using Absinthe. I've managed to get Cydia installed so I can run various emulators (specifically Gameboy emulators) When trying to sync iTunes to install GemRB I keep getting 'GemRB failed to Install'. I've downloaded and installed the iPhone COnfig Utility and the log shows the following: Mar 21 10:33:25 ICT-Supports-iPad installd[364] <Error>: 001f9000 verify_signer_identity: Could not copy validate signature: -402620388 Mar 21 10:33:25 ICT-Supports-iPad installd[364] <Error>: 001f9000 preflight_application_install: Could not verify executable at /var/tmp/install_staging.cL93Nu/foo_extracted/Payload/GemRB.app Mar 21 10:33:25 ICT-Supports-iPad installd[364] <Error>: 001f9000 install_application: Could not preflight application install Mar 21 10:33:25 ICT-Supports-iPad com.apple.itunesstored[383] <Notice>: MobileInstallationInstall: failed with -1 Mar 21 10:33:27 ICT-Supports-iPad installd[364] <Error>: 001f9000 handle_install: API failed Mar 21 10:33:27 ICT-Supports-iPad installd[364] <Error>: 001f9000 send_message: failed to send mach message of 71 bytes: 10000003 Mar 21 10:33:27 ICT-Supports-iPad installd[364] <Error>: 001f9000 send_error: Could not send error response to client Hopefully that is the correct part of the log. Any help you can give would be appreciated! Cheers Jim
