  1. Version v9

    71,165 downloads

The Tweaks Anthology is a WeiDU compilation of fixes, cosmetic changes, and tweaks that will run on every Infinity Engine game, from the original Planescape:Torment, through the Icewind Dale and Baldur's Gate series, and the new Enhanced Editions of the games. The successor to BG2 Tweaks and several other tweak packs, some of these were fan requests, others are needed fixes, and others simply make dealing with the more irritating aspects of the game engine easier. Each component can be installed separately so the player can pick and choose only which ones they wish to install. Forum Project Page Full readme Visit the Gallery
  2. Version v2

    6,885 downloads

This is a mod for Baldur's Gate or Icewind Dale created by NiGHTMARE and Andyr that Idobek repackaged with a WeiDU installer. A large number of the Baldur's Gate inventory graphics (BAMs) were improved for the sequel, so this small pack puts them back into the original. It will also work with Icewind Dale, as that re-uses many BG items. Learn more about the mod View the Readme Visit the Forum
  3. Version v5

    11,973 downloads

The Item Upgrade for Icewind Dale mod is a modest collection of upgrades for various items throughout the game. Reading through the item descriptions, the developers really took a lot of time to give many items an elaborate backstory. In many cases, I felt that an upgrade was a chance to tell a bit more of the story. Learn more about the mod View the Readme Visit the Forum

Full Plate and Packing Steel is one big rework of the armour system of BG2, IWD, BGT, and Tutu, and a small collection of tweaks, dependent or not. Learn more about the mod View the Readme Visit the Forum
  5. Version v6

    32,726 downloads

The Icewind Dale Fixpack is designed to fix several bugs and errors that remain in the game after the official patches have been applied. It works on with or without the expansions Heart of Winter and Trials of the Luremaster installed. In fact, many issues quietly fixed by Heart of Winter or Trials of the Luremaster have been rolled back to every version of the game. This originally started as a component of the IWD Tweak Pack, but was broken out in to its own mod because 1) it's gotten fairly extensive on its own and 2) it should be installed right after the official patches whereas the tweaks should be last installed. 6. Version v8

    21,556 downloads

Like its predecessors for Baldur's Gate and Baldur's Gate II, Unfinished Business for Icewind Dale aims to restore content and quests that were omitted from the game as shipped. The additional content in this mod is based on what I can piece together from various game resources and from talking with former developer JE Sawyer on the Obsidian forums. Later, through my work with Beamdog, I was able to secure some of the original quest design notes and further refine the restorations. Learn more about the mod View the Readme Visit the Forum

Ace's Enchanters Portrait Pack is a collection of 8 portraits from the character art of the Enchanters book series. They have been resized and packaged to work with most Infinity Engine games. All artwork is used with permission of the artist and author. View the Readme Visit the Forum View the Gallery
  8. So, after playing the Icewind Dale Mega Mod I think there are some good features in it that should be made available to other games (and to IWD without the rest of the mod). Namely, the Sound Sets should be made available to vanilla IWD (and all it's versions) without the rest of the mod, as it's quite a nice feature and probably belongs in a "tweak pack", especially with better mod support etc From the original mods page: Lastly, and this makes sense for all games, the mod prevents merchants from buying magic wands to stop the "sell wand, buy it back recharged" mechanic. I like this idea, but I don't like his approach. The Tweak pack would be cool with some options for this, like 1. Merchants do not buy wands 2. Merchants will buy wands, but will not sell them back to you 3. Merchants will buy and sell wands, their charges will be retained (I don't know if this is even possible). Wand prices affected by number of charges. With option 3, maybe a "I would like to recharge my magic items" dialogue option could appear at magic shops, which would cost (the cost of the wand / total number of charges) per charge to recharge (and we could specify how many wand charges we want). Most higher-level wands would not be rechargable. This is to prevent the "buy back wands" exploit, since it was obviously not intended, and would potentially replace it with a more fair system where you pay per charge, and only from certain vendors, and only for certain wands that are obviously not really powerful and designed to be limited. EDIT: Whoops! I didn't see the feature suggestions thread! I am happy to move this there if required!
  9. spec = [xxx.yyy.zzz.vvv.qqq] xxx, yyy, zzz, vvv, qqq - integer numbers - I have no idea what do they mean These numbers are the ID values. (IDs targeting, EA/General/..etc). If there is a creature fulfilling the 'specification', then the spawn won't occur. It should be set to the ID values of the creature, or infinite spawning will occur.
  10. I've crafted a mod to add the twelve additional soundset from IWD2 into IWD1, including the subtitles. Testing seems to work, with one important exception. The sound folders are created, the Charstr.2da updates with the new soundset names and strings, but the .wav files aren't copying to the new folders. Since each soundset has 40 files, I want to copy them all with a single .tp2 command line from the mod subdirectory to the game Sound directory. Each soundset installs separately, so the mod has twelve components. What I've found so far is that COPY and COPY_EXISTING_REGEXP aren't working as I've coded them, and to use a basic DOS command line I'd have to call an external batch file like Kulyok did with her IWDNPC mod (which is the template for my coding). My coding skills aren't very good, and the WeiDU readme is a little difficult to work through in this case for me. This was my last attempt at coding: COPY_EXISTING_REGEXP ~IWD2_Sounds_for_IWD1\Sounds\Female_Barbarian_1\2BFF.*.wav~ ~override~ MOVE (~override~ ~^[2BFF].*\.wav$~) ~Sounds\FEMALE_BARBARIAN_1~ Seems COPY_EXISTING_REGEXP looks at the CHITIN.KEY file, doesn't find it, and faults out. Anyone willing to get me going the the right direction?
  11. Hi! I did some searching, but still couldn't find a soluton to the problem. I'm playing iwd:how on Bodhi Linux (pretty much like the latest Ubuntu, I think) with all the patches (iwd-1,06-how-1,41-ToL) and I believe I'm using the newest gemrb. I also use the Widescreen Patch, tried installing it both ways - for the original IE and for GemRB, to no difference in the following. The game crahses randomly in mid-combat, sometimes I get to kill one goblin, sometimes I don't get even this far. Trying to cast a spell (Magic Missile, in this case) seems to crash the game every time. gemrb.log shows this: I thought it was my ancient ATi videocard or the drivers. But then I tried to run the same iwd on the same machine with no gemrb from virtualbox. And it doesn't crash that way. I tried to reinstall iwd to a directory with no spaces in the address, to no result. What am I doing wrong?
  12. I'm making a request that either a 4th option be added to the 'Friendly Random Drops' component of the 'Convinience Tweaks' section in the 'IWD Tweak Pack', or a seperate mod entirely be made, that causes all possible random loot pieces be available from their source. I hate this RNG loot system, it is not fun, and even the current work-arounds offered in the tweak pack are not enough. I don't care how game breaking or OP it may be, and I have little care for immersion. I want to enjoy the game, and to me that means not being denied an item through chance and limitation, or knowing that because I chose this item, those other items are now denied to me. Even an alteration to the vendor in Kuldahar would be awesome. Give me the option to outright buy all the other items I could have possibly received, instead of replacing the item I did get, once, and never again.
  13. So, I have gemRB 0.8 on Android and I try playing HOW. PCs in my team don't have any AI. I set AI script for each PC in PC properties, but they don't have any AI yet. What I do wrong?((
  14. I have Android tablet, Ainol Novo9 Spark, with 9.7' 4:3 Retina display (2048*1536) and installed gemRB 0.8 (http://sourceforge.net/projects/gemrb/files/Other%20Binaries/android/0.8.0/gemrb-0.8.0-git-5aa84783.apk/download) So, I have set, when install HOW on my desktop, resolution in widescreen mode to 2048*1152 (but i have tested and a smaller resolution). When I start game on my tablet - it shows well, but in a very small rectangular in a center of a screen. What I do wrong, how can use selected resolution on my screen? ((((
  15. It has been a very long time since I've tried editing any kind of non-word processing computer file! I need help with this gemrb.cfg. Somethings to note: first, I installed the program on my computer with windows 7 from GOG.com, and I asked for the 64 bit. It works fine on my comp. I just got a nexus 7 and installed gemrb from the play store. I copied all of the files from my comp to the nexus 7 to /app-data/net.sourceforge.gemrb. The files and folders are in that directory. It didn't work at first, so i uninstalled the gemrb ap and then reinstalled it and made sure all the IWD files were in the net.sourceforge.gemrb directory. In the app, I tried going to "device configuration" and "data installation location" and tried using "internal storage" and then "specify directory" with the directory "/data/data/net.sourceforge.gemrb/files. Finally, I edited the gemrb.cfg file, but really don't know if I'm doing it right. Result: it loads briefly and then exits out of gemrb. Help! 16. Hello everyone Since "Baldur's Gate Enhanced Edition" has different portrait resolutions than in the original version, I started the InfinityPortraits project on DeviantArt.com. I gather Portraits from various Artists around DeviantArt and formate them into the right solutions for the Enhanced Edition, the original games and also Icewind Dale 1 and 2. - http://infinityportr...deviantart.com/ - If anyone else wishes to add their own artworks there, just send me a pn Love and kisses, TariC ~ <3
