Mods Worked On

  1. Hi! I remember reading in an older post (from the V32 release of SCS iirc) that the way enemy prebuffing worked was influenced by the difficulty slider/fine-tuning, and that if the difficulty was set to "Insane", pretty much any defensive spell with a duration of 1 round or more memorized by an enemy spellcaster would be part of their prebuffing when initiating combat. I'm currently in a BG1 playthrough with the difficulty set to Insane and I've seen a very small number of encounters that don't seem to match this behavior. In particular, the chessboard fight in Durlarg's tower features two fairly high level spellcasters (the enemy King and Queen) with a couple of defensive spells memorized that are usually part of prebuffing (shield, stoneskin, mirror image, minor globe...), but for some reason they don't seem to do any kind of prebuffing at the beginning of the fight. Is this an intended behavior for this specific fight as a way to balance it?
  2. Hi everyone! I'm very new to Baldur's Gate and have a fairly simple question to ask: Is the mod Sword Coast Stratagems v33.1 fully compatible with the latest versions of the following mods: BG1 NPC Project, Unfinished Business, Portraits Portraits Everywhere and Distinguishable Clubs? https://www.gibberlings3.net/mods/tweaks/scs/ https://www.gibberlings3.net/mods/npcs/bg1npc/ https://forums.beamdog.com/discussion/38254/bg1-unfinished-business-v16-0 https://forums.beamdog.com/discussion/61015/mod-portraits-portraits-everywhere-for-bg1ee-sod-bg2ee-iwdee-eet/p1 https://forums.beamdog.com/discussion/34524/distinguishable-clubs-weidu-update-1-1/p1 Also, the page listing mods compatible with BG:EE + SoD over there at Beamdog states that SCS needs a fix to work. After I've installed SCS following all the instructions, do I still need to use that fix for SCS to work in my game? The fix mentioned is in the link below. https://forums.beamdog.com/discussion/comment/732385/#Comment_732385 Just so you guys know, I have the BG:EE + Siege of Dragonspear from Steam, and I installed them yesterday for the very first time and so far I only played for 30 minutes just to see how it was and if everything was ok, so my install is 100% vanilla clean and I would like to make my first playthrough with those mods listed above. Last but not least, any recommendations about other mods that are 100% compatible with the ones mentioned above and that would fit really well with someone like me playing BG for the first time? Thank you in advance!
  3. I've searched the forum and this seems as good a place as any to posts this. Some other threads are two years old. I'm having gaming issues: - Using SCS (v)30 in BGEE. - I've added in the BWF and unpacked it into my game folder at 00766. - I'm installing it in the order as recommended by BIG World Project (v)17 - Everything else has installed properly, tweaks, fixes, NPCs, etc. - When I try to install SCS (v)30, I get all the way through, and at the very end, I get an error message and it rolls back. - I've done nothing but unpack BWF but trying to do anything with the .bat files results also in an error message So, what am I screwing up? Please note: I'm a consumer, a user. Not a modder and don't write code.
