Tested and got my answer to my question.

I have my install complete and it works well. However I forgot to add 1 small mod and 3 tweaks. If I run the setup per the instructions and load from my saved ini compilation. Then make the appropriate additions with selections, will the setup tool insert the mod and components at the correct point by uninstalling and reinstalling as needed or will it just append these pieces at the end of the load order?

I also do not have the Adenturer Kit on Imoen in EET. I do not have Song and Silence Installed.

Using BGEE from GoG v2.6.6.0
I do not have a button under the backpack to switch the weapon from one handed to two handed. It's not on my bar or on the left and not on my weapons bar. I tried this with a clean install and only the 2 handed bastard sword component. Still no switch capability. Tried moving the mouse over every conceivable spot on my screen to see if it was invisible. Still can't find it. What am I supposed to be looking for to switch from 1 to 2 handed and back?

2) Try with the components from IWDification RC1, that would be better. Or wait until the next version is released.

2 questions please:

1) Is it okay to use DLC Merge instead of modmerge for GoG version 2.6.6.0 of BGEE and SoD as the prerequisite for this mod?

2) With the current install failing for the Icewind dale spells, is it okay to start a game and then add the spells later after a fix is posted?
