That's most likely the issue then. I copied the IWD folder over to my Win10 VM desktop temporarily for mod installation purposes because I'm running the game on my Win2K and the mod executables are too new for it (the joys of real retro computing, ha!). Still, as that exact same procedure had worked just fine with BG2 mods I didn't expect a need to modify any files.

I'll try that next.
