He meant EEKeeper. EEKeeper breaks one or two things, it can wipe out repeating effects that a mod or two rely on. Stuff like SoB's dynamic stat bonuses and dynamic spell slot adjustments. Possibly 5E Spellcasting memorization slot management too.

I wouldn't worry too much about it if you want to drop Charisma. Note that, in particular, even if you drop CHA to 3 with this mod, is you subsequently make yourself a paladin /bard/druid - any class that has a minimum CHA score - the mod will bring your CHA up to the minimum score.

Oh no worries I am not using EEKeeper, I was just quoting what I found while searching around regarding reducing companion charisma. Anywho, good to know, will treat charisma as a dump stat for those who don't need it then! And NP on the minimum score - trying to keep it at least somewhat natural so that's actually a plus ❤️ :3

  2. rip, makes sense. I will just learn to live with console GiveXP and use it during appropriate-ish moments and not every two seconds of changing party members or something. Got the mod and am reinstalling everything, thanks for making this!

    EDIT:
Different question - do you have any recommendations on stat changes for the newly multiclassed NPC's(via selecting remove dual-class flag thingy options) for an EET game running with Ascension+WoP+SCS with a number of selected components including every component that overhauls the final battles in each game?

This is a bit subjective obvs, but you have more experience with the game than me so would love to hear your take. What would/do you personally adjust them to statwise for balance reasons and not accidentally having OP companions?

  3. Glad it helped a bit!

    ----

    Spoiler

    Running into an odd issue.

    First, here's my whole setup:

    - DLC Merger

    - BG1 Unfinished Business

    - EET Core

    - Dragonspear UI ++

    - BG2Fixpack(I think it didn't install because it detected I was on EE, but mentioning just in case)

    - Ascension

    - Wheel of Prophecy

    - BG2 Unfinished Business

    - BG Mini Quests and Encounters

    - The Calling

    - Cowled Menace

    - Alternatives

    - BG1NPC Project

    - NPCTweak

    - SoD2BG2: Item Upgrades

    - item revisions revised

    - IWDification

    - Spell Revisions Revised

    - Jastey Tweaks for SoD and EET

    - Tweaks Anthology

    - Road to Discovery for SoD

    - Sword Coast Stratagems

    - EET End

    Written in install order.

I am a short way away from Nashkel in Chapter 1. Finishing up in Beregost/Friendly Arm. Experimented with removing all party members and turning in some final quests to get main PC to level 2 because I wanted to see if it would result in everyone else reaching 2 as well due to Improved NPC's Customization, to confirm everything was in working order.

I installed SCS's "improved npc customization component" but it only seems to work for Imoen, Neera, Garrick and Kagain so far, the level up component that is. Montaron, Xzar, Khalid and Jaheira do not level up when re-added to party, they get no XP added to them whatsoever. Seeing that Neera needed to be re-added twice to reach level 2, I thought I would try removing and re-adding the rest who had issues but it didn't work, not even if I added them alone.

I noticed I erroneously added ToB style NPC's from Anthology so I removed that but that hasn't fixed the issue, although I tried it on the same save game. Could this be caused by the Anthology tweak that allows one NPC from NPC pairs to be re-added after removal? Load order looks fine to me so I don't think its that.

    Any ideas?

Oops, I should have provided a bit more explanation on how to use it.
It works like the BiG World Fixpack (without pretending to be as exhaustive), and must be installed before any mod, as it will modify their files.

You must therefore unzip it in your game folder, with all your other mods. Before launching the installation with PI, you must run the _ApplyPatches.bat file, your mods will be automatically detected, and patched if a patch exists. You cannot choose yourself which patches will be applied or not. (The patches you mentioned are valid for all languages)

For the added Lolfixer mod, it has been partially adapted to the EE versions. Only components 1, 3, 5, 7, 8, 10, 12, 13, 14 and 15 can be installed safely. The others can still cause some problems, and should only be used when you know what you are doing.

Uhhh, how do I pre-apply before installing Project Infinity...?
SetInstallSequence doesn't copy over the install files to the install location or anything as such. Taking a look at the users/(user)/appdata folders didn't show me a temporary location where PI copies files for installation.
Would it work if I copy it to each individual mod in question and just patch the mod by itself?
Sorry about this, still learnin', and thanks for being willing to elaborate!

EDIT: Got it done. To anyone else reading this, make sure you don't use C : drive for this. If you do, you will likely get 'access is denied messages', I had full permissions and was the owner of each file and still got them. Alrighty, its simple:
    - chuck the downloaded FR-Fixpack folder into a non-C drive

    - Copy weidu.exe(if you are using Project Infinity it will be in its tools folder) to the the Fixpack folder

    - copy stratagems setup and its folder to the Fixpack folder

    - run _ApplyPatches.bat

    - profittttt

If you run the .bat file without the necessary files within its folder it will actually let you know it doesn't need to be in the same folder as Baldur's gate .exe's. You can just chuck the necessary mods in there which is pretty darn cool.

Thanks for this Alywena! Its super appreciated fellow person <3! Stay hydrated \o/

  5. Quick update:
For some reason Smarter Mages and Priests didn't throw a warning on reinstall, only Initialise AI did. And IWDification's Arcane Spell pack did for wahtever reason. And two "no effects copied" warnings. But everything seems to be working well enough(sans UI issues due to installing Dragonspear UI late in the order), spawned a Red Wizard and aggro'd him and he immediately did several things I barely registered and annihilated my party lmao. Pretty sure a time stop was involved at some point too.

You can use this Fixpack created for the French community. Several patches are not useful for other languages, but it does incorporate several general fixes.

(account registration done, yay, thanks moderation team <3)
Oh wow, the BG modding community sure is a vibe haha, this is very cool! Thank you for linking this!

Translating the description via DeepL, I am guessing I want to leave these in particular unticked?:

And can likely safely tick the rest, I think? I play on English.

    EDIT:
Hmm. Adding this to Project Infinity gives me options that make no sense to me at least. Every component says "Area Stuff" or "Item Stuff" or "Spell Stuff", no specifics as to what its addressing.

    EDIT2:
One more question: I install this after SCS or no? EDIT3: and what does cre_check do exactly? Need to run if I use Creature Stuff components?
