    Oh whoops, I misread that. For CHA yes, just apply one spell

    I have seen your mod that gives incentivies for ability score, maybe i can somehow use the component for charisma but make it only rewarding with physical resistance (but only for this kit). Is it even possible?

    OR
    I would use it with its luck and saves bonus as it is (as it is very nice reward too) but not with xp bonus. Is it possible to only apply it in such changed form to the kit ? Would I even have your permission?

    Your description is like 4x the length of most kit descriptions, it will stand out. If you care about that.

    well you are probably right :) I love P&P and writing so i guess thats my bad. I will try to make it at least 2x shorter :D Still i want it to be as immersive as possible

    I’m unclear: is this a single-class ranger kit? Or a multiclass C/R kit? You want to use ADD_KIT_EX in the latter case. (Actually it’s a good idea in either case.)

    It's just a ranger. before i wanted it to be C/R or Kensai/C but first of all it would be too difficult for me to code that as for first mod and second of all from all the buffs etc i think it would be way to strong and way too early

    Precluding use of the DoE is easy, just add an op319 effect to the DoE blocking use by this kit. Get ready for players to be pissed about this, though.

    Alternatively you might be able to apply a permanent op206 effect to the kit protecting against the DoE filename? Which might mean the DoE equipping effect would not affect this character but you could still use the item. Maybe.

    So maybe thats not neccessary? I was just worried about stacking physical resistance, HLA resistance , DOE and armor of faith. But maybe thats fine? I guess every single ranger and fighter/cleric can do that so after all why not.. It's players choice to use cheddar or not 😛

    For the DR, I would make a single spell with 20 abilities, each one with a different min level (1-20, obvs), and each ability with effects setting DR to the min level x 2. Then in the kit ability table, have a row where this spell gets AP_ applied every level from 1 to 20.

    Yes, but i wanted it to be a reward for the high charisma since it's a lore for Eldath "clergy" that they are sometimes kind of diplomats (also rangers i guess for some minor quarells in nearby villages ;)) . Also high charisma is not that easy to achieve since its another ability score to have points to spare. I hope I understood you correctly?

    Thank you for your reply!

  3. So!! :) pre alpha skeleton version installed properly, the feeling is amazing, omg my first mod! but of course i have many obstacles to conquer. Would you Guys help a green green rookie a little bit?

    This is the project description:

    @2= ~Warden of the Serene Wetlands~
    @3= ~warden of the serene wetlands~
    @4= ~Warden of the Serene Wetlands: Mysterious Eldath has many hidden and peaceful refuges, groves, and sanctuaries scattered across the lands. These serene places soothe disputes and provide havens for the forsaken and the wounded. One can usually find waterfalls, ponds, and wetlands embraced by emerald forests, mangroves, or meadows there. The shrines and temples, stunningly beautiful in their simplicity, stand as beacons of tranquility.
    Amid sculpted, smooth stones and columns, those with troubled hearts and good souls can find peace and forgiveness if they listen closely to the rare, enchanting whispers. Some say that's the Quiet Goddess herself, sharing timeless wisdom and the natural balance. These sanctuaries are usually maintained by priests and druids and guarded by Eldath's monks or her sister Mielikki's rangers. Both such warriors are called Wardens.
    Among such places, the well-hidden, stone Serene Wetlands sanctuary, sits gracefully on the shore of a lake, nourished by cascading waterfalls and surrounded by vibrant, waterlogged glades and forests. It is renowned for its nature loving, peaceful weapon master wardens, akin to the Kara-Turan Kensai. Forbidden from using armor or helmets, they believe true defense comes only through wisdom. The beautiful, emerald-glimmering Goddess Eldath grants them divine powers to protect her temple. Druidic elder women, ever-present around temples like this one, patiently teach minor druidic cantrips to ensure that youngsters learn the Oldest Way of healing as well.

        Advantages:
    – 1st level: The Flow: "Water flows endlessly, whispering tales of eternity": Warden gains a -2 AC bonus  //

    – 1st level: The Knowledge: "Passed on by word of mouth": Gains Stimulant Herbs ability - allows the Warden of Eldath to do maximum damage for ten seconds after the activation of the ability. The effect is instant, there is no casting time.
    Starting at level one with a single use, it may only be used once per day for every four levels.  //It's just reflavoured KAI, works //

    – 1st level: The Simplest Medicine: "Heal the wounded, soothe the frightened, protect the weak": 1x Good Berry Spell and 1x Barkskin per 4 levels untill level 12  //have to code that, as i can't find such innate abilities, also thinking about some other minor divine abilties, maybe remove fear?//

    – 2nd level: The Hidden: "Dense are the thickets and their defenders appear out of nowhere" : Starting from level 2 Warden of the Wetlands can backstab for 2x multiplier. Multiplier will not increase with levels afterwards.  //i guess thats enough since we have kai and bonus damage per 3 levels, even if it would be weaker than kensai/thief i don't care - it works in battle but is not visible on characters sheet/statistics//

    – 3rd level: The Flow: "In the dance of stream and rock, the stream prevails, not by strength, but by persistence.": +1 to weapon damage and -1 to thac0 per 3 levels
    –  4h level: The Flow: "Swiftly enact your duty, my guard, for I will not tolerate any disturbance to my serenity for long.": -1 to weapon speed per 4 levels

    //there are standard kensai perks, they work properly//

    – 5th level: The Whispers: "Enchanting as a forest, strong as a waterfall - so is the peacekeeper of the Goddess". Wardens of Eldath's Groves are famous for their diplomatic skills. They are commonly summoned to help with disputes. For every two points of charisma above ten
    Warden of the Serene Wetlands receives 2% physical resistance.  //this is an unique feature of this kit and I would very much like to implement it. i have no slightest idea how to code that. Also should it be a bonus from hard points only? or any charisma even from items? I cannot make my mind on that one//

    – 7th level: The Stillness: "Rivers flow into the ocean, yet the ocean remains undisturbed; so too is the body of a peaceful soul": Immunity to poison //works as intended - SPL stolen from monk :)//

        Disadvantages:
    - Warden cannot wear any armor, bracers, shields or helmets //works //
    - Cannot use ranged weapons  //works//
    - Can only be of good alignment and may fall due to dishonorable acts, like any other ranger~  //works of course, since its the ranger is a template for that kit//

    Other important things:
    1) I'm already in the process of booking unique prefix for the mod
    2) I would like very much for this kit to NOT BE ABLE to use defender of easthaven due to obvious physical resistance perk reasons. How to do that in a simplest most efficient way? //Don't care, let the player decide//

  4. Mold touch, pixie dust and mist of eldath  will be added to the list of spells of the kit.

    I don't suppose this kit is going to be super powerful, what i like to have here is versatile all arounder, proficient in battle yet useful for support as this is my favourite combo. I dont want it to have certainly super powerful spells like insect plague. I would gladly see any feedback since as always I'm unsure of my own judgement :]

  5. So this is my idea, I'm now in the middle of coding it and as I'm a complete beginner it's going rather slowly ; ) but anyway this is the writing part and kit construction, I really hope for some feedback from you People - good or bad - all is welcome. Basically it's a kensai/cleric of Eldath with druidic weapons only and some minor but very useful druidic powers.

  6. I'm super rookie, so apologies first of all.
    What I'm trying to make is sort of Kensai/cleric of Eldath multiclass. I would like it to have same as kensai disadvantages - no armor, no helmet no bracers(im gonna sit on bracers a little bit more but lets keep it as forbidden for now) and DRUID weapon restrictions. But at the same time i want it to be able to wear for example sensate amulet (for clerics and fighter clerics) . For now I'm using code 8 so fighter/cleric. I'm kind of confused how to adjust it to be as above-mentioned. Which unusable code would that be?

    Thank's for any help in advance!

  7. I just wanted to thank so much the person who wrote certain dailogue between yeslick and imoen - so funny and wholesome. made me wanna go with bothof them  in bg2 too. friendship over powergaming!

  8. I saw that, thank you so much . To be honest regarding weidu code chatgpt is very helpful. I think i will manage. I'm intending just adding some flavour, not much. Aerie is a sweet girl yet her romance is a little bit lacking depth comparing to Viccy and Jaheira or even good romance mods like Isra or Xan

  9. Hello Beautiful People,

    I would like to start with modding. I'd like to start with expanding and enhancing Aerie Romance a little bit. Where should i start?
    I'd like to:
    1 expand current dialogues
    2 Add some dialogues with location/quest trigger.

    What do I need? Where should i start?
    The only tool I have is Near Infinity

    The specific error is something in the berserker patch but it's difficult to see what - it will be some interaction with your existing mod list but I'm not sure what (the component installs cleanly on my ToF-only install). That chunk of code has in any case been rewritten for beta 9 so I can't easily chase it. If you like, try turning off the berserker changes by setting
    rebalance_berserker=0

    and possibly also

    rebalance_barbarian=0

    in the dw_talents.ini file.

    Thank you so much for the response, I think i will just calmly wait for beta 9. And when that one will arrive - I will probably proceed with clean reinstall without any major tweaks outside cdtweaks, scs and ToF

  11. Let me check if it will fix it, thank you

    EDIT: No change :( Only Greater werewolf form is working, it's almost for sure about this revised classes component from ToF that cannot be installed with my setup for some reason.

    BTW: Werewolf paws are now singlehanded weapon and not two-handed anymore - important when choosing fighting style
    BTW:2 At 13berserker/13shapeshifter i have 4 attacks and not 3 per round 1d10. Is it because of fighter apr bonuses somehow?

  12. I think i have a problem? (BG2EE) Raging shifter is only capable to transform into greater werewolf, werewolf ability doesnt do nothing - human shape stays. high level werewolf lord shape won't even apply.
