changing resolutions on single save

I am getting a crash while trying to visit one of the bars in Sygil. I am wondering if changing my resolution with the widescreen mod several times on the same save game may have upset something. Do I need a new save game per each change of resolution when I change it with the widescreen mod? It appears it is reinstaling everytime I run it.

Oh, in addition the current save was originaly run with widescreen installed. I did not save a non widescreen mod game then add the mod to that save.
