Is there a way to import interface graphics?

I've been using the wide screen mod with BG2 recently and it's been working almost flawlessly. I seem to have a few more crashes now and then but nothing really drastic. Today I got my hands on the latest version of this mod and installed it in my IWD1 game, since the version I had earlier didn't work. But looking at the game, I noticed that the IWD interface graphics didn't tile nearly as well as the ones for BG2. In fact I find it looks kind of ugly at my resolution of 1920 X 1200. BG2 on the other hand is pretty much seamless and works beautifully. So I was wondering if there was a way I could use the BG2 graphics for IWD1 as well, perhaps by doing some as simple as just copying the files over and renaming if necessary.
